🇺🇸 President Donald Trump says the White House has completed its new permanent helipad on the South Lawn, replacing the traditional grass landing area used by Marine One with a durable black granite surface.

The upgrade was prompted by the newer VH-92A presidential helicopters, whose powerful downward-directed heat and exhaust can damage the lawn during takeoffs and landings. A permanent hard surface is intended to prevent that repeated wear.

The new landing area includes a prominent presidential seal carved into the granite. The project received a $5 million contribution from Lockheed Martin, the parent company of Sikorsky, which manufactures the helicopters used for Marine One, with the contribution made to the National Park Service.

Construction started in June, but Trump later requested changes after raising concerns about the appearance of the project and whether the helipad should be positioned level with the horizon because of the South Lawn’s slope.

The completed helipad also has potential uses beyond presidential helicopter arrivals, including state arrivals and outdoor White House events. Trump has described the finished feature as “magnificent” while pointing to the long history of presidential helicopter travel, including Dwight Eisenhower’s first helicopter departure from the White House grounds in 1957.

Marine One had been temporarily using the nearby Ellipse while construction was underway.

Rudy Giuliani has strongly objected to Zohran Mamdani taking part in New York’s 25th-anniversary 9/11 memorial ceremony, saying the decision deeply troubles him. Giuliani, who was New York City’s mayor during the 2001 attacks, has urged Mamdani to stay away from the commemoration.

For Giuliani, the issue goes beyond ordinary political disagreement. He has emphasized his personal connection to people who were lost on September 11 and to families who continue to live with that tragedy decades later.

The ceremony is intended to remember the nearly 3,000 people killed in the attacks and honor the victims, their loved ones, and the first responders who risked their lives that day.

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are dedicating the day at Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk to Dolly Parton and her work helping children build a love of reading. The date was chosen as a reference to Parton’s famous “9 to 5.”

According to the venue, all of its income from September 25 will go toward Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, the nonprofit children’s literacy program. The plan is for the fundraiser to become an annual tribute celebrating Parton’s charitable legacy.

Kiersten was expecting her second baby when, at just seven months pregnant, she received devastating news: she had stage four inflammatory breast cancer, an aggressive form of cancer that had already spread to other parts of her body.

Then the moment she had been hoping and praying for finally came.

Her scans showed no active cancer.

Kiersten had entered this battle pregnant with one child, frightened that her two boys might someday have to grow up without their mother.

Chicago police reported that at least six people lost their lives and 28 more were injured in shootings throughout the city during the Labor Day weekend.

The victims were between 14 and 54 years old, according to authorities.

🚨 WHAT DID HE KNOW? A new report from Haaretz alleges that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received warnings about a major Hamas operation approximately 10 days before the October 7 attack.

According to the report, UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed and Egypt’s intelligence chief Abbas Kamel separately alerted Netanyahu about the possibility of a significant Hamas operation. The report further claims that senior Israeli security officials were not informed of those warnings.

Netanyahu’s office strongly rejects the allegation, describing it as “an absolute lie.”

Meanwhile, former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has publicly backed the report, saying he knows “for a fact” that the account is accurate.

The allegations remain disputed, with Netanyahu’s office denying the central claim.

⚖️ Mississippi Expands Its Authorized Ex*****on Methods

Mississippi has officially joined a small group of U.S. states with a law permitting this particular method of ex*****on.

State lawmakers approved the measure in April, and the governor later signed it into law. The legislation took effect on July 1, making Mississippi the seventh state with this type of ex*****on method authorized by law.

The number could soon increase again. Alabama is expected to implement its own law in October, which would bring the nationwide total to eight states.
