Okay. We have been putting off writing this post because honestly, we are completely broken but here is our latest update......

We have made the toughest decision of our lives and decided enough is enough, we have no more time to wait for Martins health so we are going to return to the UK to get him the help he desperately needs.

We never thought we would be writing these words, as we have built everything here. Our home, our salon, our friendships and the thought of leaving that behind is absolutely heartbreaking.

The Spanish medical system has failed Martin. The care he needed didn't come when it should have, and we have spent long enough waiting for a system that has made it very clear it is not going to fight for him. After speaking at length with various medical people we have been told he just doesnt have time to wait for his operation.

Marley seems to also be stuck on a waiting list here with no answers, no support and definately NO sleep !!! She deserves better than that too.

The salon will stay open for appointments until the end of July, or sooner if the house sells before then. If you want to come in before we leave, please book. Genuinely. Those last appointments are going to mean the world to me.

So its home time, the NHS all be it a system that also has its faults will actually see them and help them.

Tomorrow our house is going on the market... So if anyone wants to buy a house, Call me haha !! We have to get rid of over 20 years of life and pack what we can into the car boot to take home.

We cannot even begin to put into words what this community has meant to us. The friends who became family. The clients who became friends. The people who showed up for us in ways we never expected. You made Spain home. You made the hard days feel manageable and the good days feel absolutely magical. We are going to miss you all so much!

Also everyone who has already donated to https://gofund.me/e93fa7587 (I still dont know who made it !! ) Thank you so much. Every single penny is going towards Martin's care when we get back to the UK. He is going to need a mobility scooter and no doubt our new home is going to need adaptations.
We didn't choose this. None of this is what we wanted. But we are choosing to fight for our family. And I know, I really do know, that this is the right thing to do.

👌 Your at home skincare routine doesn't need to be complicated.

I recommend to my clients to keep it simple:
Cleanse, tone, moisturize and the most important thing to remember is SPF protection. Topical products can be used for specific issues such as acne.

Keep your skin hydrated by using a serum such as Hyaluronic acid and definitely drink that water 💦

🤞 Do you know what skin type you have or what is happening with your skin?

At the Beautiful You Salon Benidorm we have several tools that can help us see what is going on with your skin, whether you have underlying pigmentation/sun damage, areas that need extra exfoliating due to a build up of dead skin cells, congestion and acne, how oily/hydrated the skin is.

This is why a professional consultation is always required before any treatment is carried out.

As previously said sometimes all that's needed is to keep it simple, we will never recommend something that is not needed.

🤔 Do I need to purchase expensive skincare products suitable for my skin type?

We understand that people have different preferences on what skincare suits their skin or lifestyle, whatever it costs.
We only give our advice on what we believe would be beneficial to your skin, there is definitely not one fits all.

❓What about exfoliating as I don't understand the differences as there are so many choices.

Exfoliating your skin should be part of your skincare routine but is generally not needed as often as you think.

A thorough analysis will show us what type of exfoliating is needed. This could be by using a cream or gel, micro dermabrasion, galvanic or having a Hydrafacial.

We are always just a DM or Whatsapp 0034 616 650 372 away if you have specific questions that you would like to ask, we are always available to advise in anything that we are professionaly trained in, if we don't have the answer we will research for you but again will never recommend something that is not suitable for you or your skin.

🫩❓ ¿Tienes dudas sobre el cuidado de la piel?

👌 Tu rutina de cuidado facial en casa no tiene por qué ser complicada.

Recomiendo a mis clientas que la mantengan simple:
Limpiar, tonificar, hidratar y, lo más importante, usar protección solar. Se pueden usar productos tópicos para problemas específicos como el acné.

Mantén tu piel hidratada con un sérum como el de ácido hialurónico y, por supuesto, bebe mucha agua 💦

🤞 ¿Sabes qué tipo de piel tienes o qué le pasa a tu piel?

En el Salón Beautiful You Benidorm contamos con varias herramientas que nos ayudan a ver qué le ocurre a tu piel: si tienes pigmentación subyacente o daño solar, zonas que necesitan una exfoliación extra por acumulación de células muertas, poros obstruidos o acné, y si tu piel es grasa o está hidratada.

Por eso, siempre es necesaria una consulta profesional antes de cualquier tratamiento.

Como ya hemos dicho, a veces lo mejor es la simplicidad; nunca recomendaremos algo innecesario.

🤔 ¿Necesito comprar productos caros para el cuidado de la piel adecuados para mi tipo de piel?

Entendemos que cada persona tiene preferencias diferentes sobre qué productos para el cuidado de la piel se adaptan mejor a su piel o estilo de vida, independientemente del precio.

Solo ofrecemos consejos sobre lo que creemos que sería beneficioso para tu piel; definitivamente no existe una solución universal.

❓ ¿Qué hay de la exfoliación? No entiendo las diferencias, ya que hay muchas opciones.

Exfoliar la piel debería formar parte de tu rutina de cuidado facial, pero generalmente no es necesario hacerlo con tanta frecuencia como crees.

Un análisis exhaustivo nos mostrará qué tipo de exfoliación necesitas. Esto podría ser mediante el uso de una crema o gel, microdermoabrasión, galvanoplastia o un tratamiento Hydrafacial.
