This tattoo was created for my friend, who, like me, moved to Canada from Ukraine.
The word written on her collarbone is a Ukrainian word that carries two powerful meanings. It means freedom — the state of being free — but it also describes inner strength, determination, and an unwavering will to achieve what you believe in.
For us Ukrainians, this word has a particularly deep meaning. We are fighting for our freedom and for the right to live freely, make our own choices, and follow the path we believe is right.
The line extending from the word represents that determination — an unwavering pursuit of freedom.
