💖 “Helen’s Three‑Stone Comeback” 💖


Helen stepped upon the scale
And let out quite a piercing wail,
For there it flashed, without a doubt:
A number she refused to shout.

She gasped and clutched the bathroom door,
Collapsed as if upon the floor.
“Oh cruel device!” she cried aloud,
“You’ve hurt my soul — and bruised my pride!”

She rose again, dramatic flair,
Hand sweeping back her tousled hair.
“No more,” she vowed, “shall snacks betray
This noble body — starting today!”

She walked, she jogged, she cursed the hills,
Dodged shops with pastry‑laden thrills.
She tossed out biscuits, crisps, and cake
(Still mourned her mate Trevor the Flake).

Her cat looked on in utter fear
As Helen lunged from rear to rear,
Doing squats with warrior grace
(And quite a strained but valiant face).

Weeks rolled by — her strength grew strong,
Her walk became a fitness song.
Her jeans, once tight, began to glide —
Helen strutted with new pride.

At last she stepped upon the scale,
Prepared this time — she would not wail.
Three mighty stone — at last — dethroned!
She cheered so loud the neighbours groaned.

Now Helen climbs the stairs with ease,
No stopping halfway for a wheeze.
She dances, sparkles, beams delight —
A hero in her own spotlight.
