Another 5-client day in the studio 💅🏼✨
We started with hard gel, moved onto gel toes and then it was an acrylic afternoon with three acrylic clients back-to-back!
And my first Halloween set of the year officially made an appearance 👻🤍 French tips with tiny hand-painted ghosts and spiderwebs, followed later by the prettiest brown set with hand-painted florals 🤎🌸

Today’s appointments prompted a slightly different kind of video from me. While removing another technician’s product, I discovered a greenie underneath an area of lifting — and it opened up a much bigger conversation about something I feel very strongly about.
As nail techs, our responsibility isn’t just to make nails look beautiful when a client leaves our chair. It’s also to protect and respect the natural nail underneath.
I know appointments take time. I know running a business means watching timings and costs. But for me, nail health will always come before getting someone in and out of the chair faster.
Everybody deserves a gorgeous set of nails — but they deserve a healthy set too. 💅🏼🤍

It’s so much more than just doing nails — it’s the practice, the late nights, the content, the admin, the investment and constantly trying to improve.

But then I look at how far Gel Us Nails has come, the clients who keep coming back and the little business I’m building from my home studio… and I’m so proud of it. 🥹💅🏼
