Researchers analysed breast tissue samples before and after the 28-day period and found significant molecular shifts. These changes affected key pathways linked to cancer development, including PI3K-AKT/mTOR, autophagy and apoptotic signalling - all crucial processes in cell survival and growth.
Parabens and phthalates are widely used in cosmetics, skincare and personal care products as preservatives and fragrance enhancers. However, they act as xenoestrogens...synthetic compounds that mimic oestrogen in the body. Since oestrogen plays a role in breast cancer development, minimising exposure to these chemicals could be a powerful step towards protecting breast health.
