I cannot recommend Rachael and her team highly enough. I was in a bit of a panic thinking I would either have a long lay off from trialling or I would have to retire my youngster from competing totally. However with absolute commitment and amazing handling and patience from Rachael there is a big bright light appearing at the end of my panic tunnel. THANK YOU so much!
All things dog charity event! Please share!
Lucy loved her first session, thank you ayrshire canine 😊

Zuri.the.little.chihuahua in the pool for the very first time with Rachael last week. Zuri was swimming & doing balance work, to help rebuild her muscles on both her back legs following a double luxating patella operation earlier in the year. Can't thank A.C.E enough for all the work there doing with her!!! What a difference in Zuri after just a few months of working with both the Rachael's ###

Thank you so much for Fitting Sway in today ❤️ and for working through your Lunch Break Rachael Sway is very relaxed with you and managed to put a rather hysterical owner at ease! She didn’t need Leg amputation, retired and kept in a tiny box for the rest of her life after all 🤣🤣

[02/05/20]   Stance Analyser special offer appointments going fast!! Phone in on Friday morning to get yours!!! 01292 282293

FEBRUARY SPECIAL OFFER

Stance Analyzer

This is a fairly new piece of diagnostic equipment available at ACE Physio. The Stance Analyzer (SA) allows us to see how the dog is distributing his weight over his 4 legs. In an ideal world the dog will have 30% of their bodyweight on each front leg and 20% on each hind leg. Any major deviation from this can indicate injury or imbalance so the results are used to inform the need for treatment and exercise.

We ask the handler to get the dog to stand still with one paw in each quadrant of the SA Mat. They should be looking straight ahead at the handler and not be ‘baited’ with food (or they move too much!!) Several readings will be recorded and an average taken. The weight of the dog will also be recorded. The handler will get a printout of the results so regular checks can be useful to monitor progress.

This is useful tool in the identification of issues when an animal presents as ‘not quite right’. Invaluable to aid the treatment, further investigation and management of injury, weight monitoring, to provide information for appropriate exercise or rehabilitation and to inform programmes to support canine athletes.

We can offer this service to dog owners at a cost of £35 as a freestanding appointment - (An SA session is included at a reduced fee in some Initial Physiotherapy work-throughs and in a full Agility Check).

For TWO WEEKS in February we will be offering 20 appointments at the special reduced rate of £20 per session. Once these appointments are gone the price will revert to the usual price of £35 so phone the Centre (Monday, Wednesday afternoons and Fridays) on 01292 282293 to snap up this opportunity before they are all gone!

See full details in job description.

Lovely Collie Bitch looking for her forever home. Jess is roughly 4 years old. She can be wary of other dogs but is improving each day with more exposure. Jess was raised on a farm and she has had very limited experience of the outside world. She is very good with people, however would not recommend a home with small children or other pets (not that we have previous knowledge of this being an issue, however we also haven't been able to test her with this). Lovely nature and very well behaved in the house. Experience with border collies would certainly be advantageous as she is very clever. She is starting to play with toys and she does not resource guard. She is affectionate and does not suffer from separation anxiety. She is crate trained and happily sleeps in a crate overnight. Basic training has been started since she came into foster care. Travels well in car. Up to date with vaccinations and has been microchipped. Please contact Ace Physiotherapy on 01292 282293, 07944 642823 or by page.
