You can’t put your finger on it. Just puffy, heavy, foggy, not quite you.
That’s usually where it starts. Not one clear complaint, just a body that’s stopped feeling like yours.
This is where we work out what’s actually going on and do something about it.
I’m Laura. Lymphatic and body work in Bangor, done properly.
Sorry but it has to be said. I’ve had countless people come to me and just say they want to lose weight and they’ve heard that’s what this is for…. Or people even asking clients, why are you getting that, you don’t need that, you’re already tiny….
Any that’s what’s been created… the hype and belief that a wellness treatment is a get skinny quick treatment….
People being taught 1 a week for 3 weeks and you’ll see results…. What results? What is it actually doing? What happens after? Are you cured? Is all excess body fat gone?
Yes some may get some great results… including better sleep, less anxiety, a lighter feeling, more calm, reduced bloating and regular bowel movements…. But this treatment isn’t weight loss and it’s not about you taking up less space.
Confession…
I love the sculpted jawlines and glowing skin that come with FACE re:FORMER treatments.
But that’s not really why I do them.
The clients who lie on my treatment bed are often carrying so much tension without even realising it.
Tight jaw.
Headaches.
Neck stiffness.
Stress.
Poor sleep
Shoulders up around your ears
Sometimes what your face needs isn’t more skincare, it needs some deeper tissue work to re:LEASE & allow proper flow again
FACE re:FORMER is designed to help calm the nervous system, release tension and support healthy lymphatic flow.
The lifted, refreshed and contoured look afterwards?
That’s just a very lovely side effect ✨

I get a bit fed up when I keep seeing posts saying:
“Sometimes it’s not fat, it’s fluid.”
Because so what if it is fat?
Why do we feel the need to constantly reassure women that their stomach isn’t actually body fat, as if that’s the worst thing it could possibly be? As if it’s the worst thing for them?
Yes, fluid retention is real.
Yes, lymphatic drainage can help.
Yes, sometimes what you’re seeing is bloating, inflammation or stagnant fluid.
But not every soft stomach needs an explanation or an excuse, it’s your body and you’re welcome exactly as you are.
And not every woman needs to be flatter to be happy.
The truth is, most of the women I see aren’t coming to me because of how their belly looks….
They’re tired.
They’re stressed.
They’re overwhelmed.
They’re running businesses, raising families, looking after everyone else and leaving themselves until last.
What I do isn’t just about helping someone look less bloated.
It’s about giving them an hour where they don’t have to do anything.
An hour where they can switch off.
An hour where someone is looking after them for a change.
I see it all the time.
The breathing slows down.
The shoulders drop.
The jaw relaxes…. Or we work on that one 😅
The nervous system finally gets the message that it’s safe to stop gripping.
And yes, they often leave feeling lighter.
But lighter isn’t always about what you can see.
Sometimes it’s better sleep.
Sometimes it’s less stress.
Sometimes it’s feeling like yourself again.
Because you’re so much more than your stomach.
And as I always say…
The number on the scale is the least interesting thing about you.

One of the questions I’m asked all the time is…
“How often should I get this done?”
The truth is, when it comes to lymphatic treatments and FACE re:FORMER, there isn’t one answer that suits everyone.
Every body is different.
As women, so much can change from week to week. Hormones, stress, sleep, hydration, nutrition, our cycle, life in general… it all has an impact on how we’re feeling and what our body needs.
For one woman, every 2 to 3 weeks feels right.
For another, every 6 to 8 weeks is enough.
Not everyone can commit to monthly treatments and that’s completely fine.
What I always say is that consistency is important, but consistency isn’t just about coming for treatments.
It’s about the things you do at home too.
Getting out for a walk.
Drinking enough water.
Prioritising your sleep.
Taking a few minutes for deep belly breathing.
Trying to cut back on ultra processed foods where you can.
Managing stress as best you can.
None of these things need to be perfect, but they all help.
The treatments support your body, but your daily habits support your results too.
So if you’re wondering how often you should book in, my answer is usually the same…
Listen to your body.
It will tell you. 🤍

the Cinch & Sculpt….after 2 treatments…
I created this about 18 months ago, for those clients who wanted and needed the lymphatic support, but they were struggling with that stubborn lower tummy area so wanted a little more…
Because let’s face it lymphatic drainage will not reduce fat or weight.
I use a combination of treatments for this to breakdown stubborn fat cells & boost collagen to tighten & tone…. Plus you get my signature deep tummy lymphatic work…. Boosting digestion, reducing bloating, getting rid of that “tight” and restrictive feeling.
Did you know, once a fat cell is destroyed… it can’t come back?

Supporting digestion isn’t always about changing what you eat.
Sometimes it’s about helping your body do what it’s already designed to do.
The gut has its own nervous system, its own rhythm, and its own way of moving things through. Abdominal massage works with that. Research shows it can help stimulate peristalsis, the natural wave like movement your intestines use to push things along, which is why it’s been used clinically to support constipation, bloating and gut motility for years.
When I’m working on the abdomen I’m following the path of the colon, encouraging lymphatic flow and helping the body clear waste and inflammation from the tissue. It’s not just relaxing, it’s genuinely functional work.
If you’re someone who carries tension in your stomach, feels bloated after eating or just feels like things are sluggish, this kind of hands on work can make a real difference to how you feel day to day.
Your gut responds to touch. That’s not woo, that’s anatomy. 🫶
Save this if it resonates, and let me know in the comments if you want to see more on abdominal work.
