These photos show why treating acne isn’t always about using “stronger” products.

In the first photo, the skin was severely inflamed and the barrier was compromised from those ‘Christmas’ products…. We’ve all been there, not truly understanding what’s on our kids Christmas lists 🥴

Instead of jumping straight into ‘Active’ treatments, we focused first on calming inflammation and repairing the skin barrier.

Once the skin became healthier and less reactive, targeted treatment was introduced gradually and we have cycled treatments every 6-8weeks depending on the skins condition.

The final photo shows:
✨ significantly reduced inflammation
✨ improved skin healing
✨ post-inflammatory erythema (PIE) fading… although we’ve had a slight hiccup here with a holiday & UV exposure
✨ only a few remaining open/closed comedones with minimal pustules
