Last night we saw the monumental and historic passing of the bill that will change the landscape for cosmetic and aesthetic procedures forever putting patient safety at its core.

The practice of injectable and higher risk procedures will only be carried out in HIS regulated clinics and with medical oversight on site as standard.

What does this mean for our clinic?

We are already a Healthcare Improvement service provider which is a prescribing nurse-led service.

What does this mean for non medical providers?

There is a period of grace until September 2027 where all will require to register with HIS and have a person with a recognised medical qualification onsite at all times.

What does this mean for you?

Nothing will change within our clinical service provision and business as usual.

We are incredibly proud of the Scottish Parliament and all those who championed getting this bill passed the finishing line. We are the First Nation in the UK to implement this significant change and a benchmark for the rest to follow.

Raising standards and introducing accountability will raise the bar for patient safety. The “Wild West” of aesthetics practice will be no more!💪🙌
