If anyone walked in here today and saw this board, they’d probably wonder what on earth was going on! 😂

The truth is, if you’re a nail tech you might be able to work some of it out… or maybe not! 😂

The important thing is that my student and I know exactly what it means. As technical as it looks, this is the knowledge that sits behind every safe, successful nail service.

Today was Day 2 of acrylic, where we’ve covered infills and rebalances, while also revisiting everything we learnt on Day 1. Repetition isn’t because students aren’t capable, it’s because that’s how real understanding is built.

This is exactly why I will keep saying it until I’m blue in the face…

You cannot properly teach a maintenance-based system in one day.

Applying a set of nails is only one part of the job. Maintaining them safely, understanding product behaviour, troubleshooting problems, knowing when to infill, when to rebalance and when to remove… that’s what creates a competent nail technician.

Education shouldn’t just teach you how to do something. It should teach you why.

And that’s why my acrylic training is spread over multiple days with time to practise in between. Because confidence, competence and safe working don’t happen in a single day. 💙

Totally off nails but ….

This is my son Charlie ❤️

Imagine being a 20-year-old university student in your final year, trying to create a podcast that’s different and original, while also using it as part of your final dissertation.

It’s easy to share posts from celebrities or influencers, but this young lad is working incredibly hard, putting everything into building something of his own. He’s passionate, driven and genuinely hoping this is the first step towards a career in sports journalism.
