I don’t think I’ve been off social media for more than a day in the past 9 years that I’ve had my business, but there comes a point when your body makes your decisions for you.

I’ve had autoimmune issues for the past 2 years… Hashimotos, UCTD and autoimmune gastritis and I’m currently in the worst flare I’ve had to date.

Every single day is so hard.

I’m in chronic pain all over my body. My skin hurts. My joints hurt. My eyes feel like sawdust. I’m so exhausted that I get upset when my kids ask me a question and I can’t even answer them properly. My hair is falling out in clumps. I can’t sleep at night because restless leg syndrome is ruining my life. And my bones feel like they’re going to break from walking.

Because of autoimmune gastritis my stomach wall lining is basically non existent, meaning any supplements I take don’t get absorbed (which is why I had to have an iron infusion over Xmas).

Doctors can’t / won’t help. I’m told it’s just something I have to live with but that’s not something I’m willing to accept.

To those who are battling with autoimmune diseases, you will get through this, just like I will.

For now I just need to take some time away from socials. My PA will be online to answer DMs so please be patient with replies.
