Dark, dimensional & diffused 🤎
Permanent root tint every 3 weeks to cover the grey had started to feel a bit to much!
So over the last 3 appointments, we’ve been changing the way we approach this colour ✨
We’ve transitioned from permanent colour to Present Time — an alkaline demi with 70% grey coverage to create a softer coverage and we’ve been loving the grow-out so much more!
But there was still too much saturated colour from the permanent through the mid-lengths and ends, creating a heavier, more solid block of colour
So this appointment was all about breaking up the base and softening that saturation, while still keeping the feeling of being dark, rich and glossy 🤎 We wanted this to grow out seamlessly so I opted for fine sections throughout!
The result? More dimension, movement and diffusion through the lengths, whilst continuing towards a colour that requires less frequent root maintenance. ✨ not everything has to be grey blending service to get a better maintenance colour 👌🏼
A little colour strategy now = a much happier grow-out later. 🙏🏼
Root shadow - 5.0 & 7vol
Gloss tone - 6.72 & 6.31 & 7vol
Beautiful Things — chelating treatment to remove mineral and metal build-up, helping create a cleaner canvas for more predictable colour.
Century of Light — lightening system used to gently break through the existing depth and saturation, creating space for more dimension.
Present Time — alkaline demi-permanent colour with up to 70% grey coverage, giving us a softer, more diffused grow-out while maintaining depth and richness

There’s something SO satisfying about bringing a bold colour like this back to life refreshing the black, brightening the white and sharpening up that contrast.

Honestly, what a BAB they were, sometimes you just have clients in your chair that make your job so dreamy! trusting me to completely switch it up for such a special moment, and I’m obsessed with how it perfectly this suits them. 🥹

This wasn’t on my 2026 bingo card… ✨
I’m so excited to share that I’ve been invited to become a Davines Educator and begin my training journey.
This is the start of a brand new chapter for me one filled with learning, growth, creativity and pushing myself outside of my comfort zone, while representing a brand that I truly love 💚
Since becoming a Davines salon, I’ve loved being part of a brand that shares so many of the values that are important to me: creativity, sustainability, community, and always striving to do better 🌱
Education has always been something I’m passionate about. I’ve always been a stylist who craves learning, developing my skills and finding new ways to grow! So this opportunity feels incredibly special.
So what does becoming a Davines Educator mean?
Over the coming months, I’ll be starting the Davines Educator Training Programme, learning from the incredible Davines education team and taking my first steps towards becoming an educator myself.
For me, education has always been about sharing knowledge, inspiring creativity and helping others feel more confident in their craft.
This journey will allow me to deepen my understanding of colour, products and techniques, while learning how to share that knowledge with other hairdressers and continue growing within our industry.
And what does this mean for you?
Don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere! 🤍
I’ll still be behind the chair creating the hair you know and love, but my salon days will move to three days a week while I dedicate time to this exciting new chapter 📚
Everything I learn will come straight back into the salon bringing new techniques, fresh ideas and even more knowledge into your appointments.
I’m so excited to step outside my comfort zone, learn from an incredible team and see where this journey takes me.
