โWhy did you tattoo the outline there?โ Because your lips donโt always end where the pigment ends! ๐
One of the most common things I hear is:
โI have really small lips.โ
But usually clients are only looking at the pink pigmented area of their lips.
A lot of people have natural lip tissue that extends beyond the visible pigment. When this tissue has little or no colour, it can make the lips appear smaller, less defined or uneven in shape.
During lip blush mapping, Iโm assessing the natural lip anatomy not just the pigmented border. This allows me to create a balanced, defined result while working within the clientโs natural lip tissue.
Youโll notice a very light โwhiteโ area in this photo. This appearance has been intensified by temporary blanching from the numbing cream, which does make the contrast more noticeable.
Lip blush isnโt about creating bigger lips or drawing a new shape outside the lips.
Itโs about restoring colour where colour is missing, improving definition and revealing the full lip shape that was there all along.
