This afternoon, Whysup In The Community were at Asda Astley Bridge with students from Little Lever School. 💙
As part of our 6-week programme, students are raising money for local charities. This term, we’re proud to be supporting .
Today, students spent time singing, packing bags and selling products to the local community. It’s great to see them building confidence, developing new skills and giving back to others.
A huge well done to all involved, and a special thank you to Christine Baldwin from Asda, who continues to go above and beyond in supporting this programme year after year.
A true community champion. 👏💙

Thanks for having us, .
Today, Mark delivered six sessions to more than 1,000 students on the topic of addiction.
Drawing on his lived experience, Mark shared his personal story of addiction and recovery, alongside educational content exploring some of the fastest-growing addictions affecting young people today.
The engagement throughout the day was fantastic, with students asking thoughtful questions and contributing to some really important conversations.
Thank you to all the staff and students for making us feel so welcome and for looking after us throughout the day.
Massive well done to everyone who took part in yesterday’s Bolton Iron Man.
Inspiring 💙

CALLING ALL THE BOLTON RECOVERY COMMUNITY 🚨🚨🚨🚨
Next Friday I’ll be meeting up with Gab Stone when he runs through Bolton.
Gab is 11 years into his recovery from a gambling addiction. An addiction that resulted in Gab going to jail.
He’s running 30 marathons in 30 days and said he will run through Bolton so we can meet up and join him for a small part of his journey (still come if you just want to pat him on the back).
I wanted to invite anyone who is in recovery or an affected other to show their support. Or even anyone who wants just say well done! Let’s give Gab a good bolton welcome.
* it’s likely to be in the day of the 12th and appreciate people work. I’ll shortly come back with times 💙

Tonight we had the pleasure of meeting the parents and carers of the 20 young people who will be taking part in this year’s Camp Vimto. 💜
We love being part of a programme that creates opportunities, builds confidence, and makes a genuine difference in the lives of young people.
This year’s group will include students from Hollingworth Academy and Wardle Academy, and we’re excited to support them throughout their journey.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended this evening. We can’t wait for the student launch in September and see what this year’s group can achieve.

Good luck to Bolton Wanderers this weekend in the EFL League One play-off final.
28,000 and counting travelling to Wembley Stadium and many more cheering on from home.
Let’s hope it’s one to remember and the children watching are talking about it for years to come… just like we still do about Reading in 1995 (maybe with a little bit less stress 😊)
Football has a way of bringing people together and a win this weekend would give the whole town a real lift.
