Foiling isn’t about doing the same pattern on every head and hoping for the best.

It’s about intention.

Mohawk.
Point.
Horizontal.

They all create a different finish… and if you don’t know why you’re choosing it, you’re just copying a pattern instead of designing a result.

If your blondes sometimes feel:
– too stripy
– too flat
– too heavy at the root
– or just… not quite hitting

It’s usually not your toner.
It’s your placement.

I choose my pattern based on:
• how much impact they want
• whether they love root depth or hate it
• where their parting naturally falls
• how they wear their hair day to day

That’s when colour becomes customised. 🫶🏻

Be honest…
Do you default to one pattern for nearly everyone? 👀

Tell me your go to: Mohawk, horizontal or Pivot? And why?

Let’s talk about it 👇🏼

Mohawk slices. The most underrated blonding technique. 👏

Here are a few reasons they’ve become a staple in my blonding:

✨ They give you more control over your sectioning, making it easier to keep everything clean and consistent.

✨ Your foils sit flatter against the head, helping you achieve tighter application at the roots.

✨ No folded foil edges means less bulk, less slipping and a neater finish.

✨ They make checking your work so much easier because every foil stays visible.

✨ Although they take a little longer to apply, they often save time overall because you’re not constantly readjusting foils or fixing messy sections.

✨ Pair them with clean, fine slices and you’ll notice a huge difference in the finished blonde.

If you want to learn exactly how I use Mohawk slices in the salon, I’ve put everything into my Mohawk eBook.

DM me “MOHAWK” and I’ll send it straight over. ✨

A non aesthetic post because why the hell not.

Why did we add lowlights? To incorporate depth as it was looking a little too flat.

Why did we add a root when it was perfectly seamless beforehand do you ask? We wanted a root, it softens the grow out.

Did we tone? Yes 10.6 + a blob of 8.34 with clean liquids developer.
