The same place that witnessed your tears will witness your fruitfulness. God will cause you to flourish, prosper and testify—even in the land of your affliction. Amen! 🙏🏾

WHY DID THE CHIEF BUTLER FORGET JOSEPH? ( Genesis Chapter 40 )

Joseph interpreted the chief butler’s dream and asked for only one favour:

“Please remember me and mention me to Pharaoh.” Genesis 40:14

But after the butler regained his position, the Bible says:

“Yet the chief butler did not remember Joseph, but forgot him.”
— Genesis 40:23

For two more years, Joseph remained in prison. It may have looked as though he had been forgotten—but God was arranging the perfect time for his name to be mentioned.

When Pharaoh had a dream that nobody could interpret, the butler suddenly remembered Joseph. Joseph was brought out of prison, interpreted the dream and was promoted from prisoner to governor in one day!

Had the butler remembered Joseph earlier, he might only have gained his freedom. But when God’s appointed time came, Joseph received freedom, promotion and purpose.

People may forget you. Promises may be broken. Your waiting season may feel painfully long—but God has not forgotten you.

Sometimes the delay is positioning your name to be mentioned at the right time, before the right person, in the right room.

You are not forgotten; God is preparing your moment. 🙏🏾❤️

Prayer: May God cause your name to be remembered in the right places, and may every delay end in divine promotion and fulfilment, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen. 🙏🏾

WHY DID GOD NOT ALLOW REUBEN TO RESCUE JOSEPH? ( Genesis Chapter 37 )

Reuben genuinely wanted to save Joseph. He stopped his brothers from killing him and planned to return later, pull him out of the pit and take him safely back to their father.

But before Reuben returned, Joseph had already been sold into slavery.

Reuben’s plan was to take Joseph back home, but God’s plan was to take Joseph to Egypt!

If Reuben had successfully rescued him, Joseph might never have reached Egypt, become governor or saved his family from famine.

Sometimes, God allows a rescue plan to fail—not because He has abandoned us, but because He is moving us towards a greater purpose.

The pit was painful.
The betrayal was painful.
The journey to Egypt was painful.
But none of it was wasted!

What Joseph’s brothers meant for evil, God turned around for good and used it to save many lives.

You may be wondering why God did not allow a particular person or opportunity to rescue you. Perhaps what looks like rejection, disappointment or delay is actually God redirecting you towards your place of fulfilment.

Reuben wanted to take Joseph back, but God was taking Joseph forward!

“And as for you, ye meant evil against me; but God meant it unto good.”—Genesis 50:20 🙏🏾
