I need your help. Well, more opinion actually. These are two Halloween make up looks that I’m considering trying out this year.

Help me choose which one to go for.

I’ve cleansed, I’ve toned, now it’s time to “treat” with my new addition (launching tomorrow 😉) moisturise and then make sure it’s all going to do its thing while I sleep thanks to our NMN night mask.

Check the house is locked up ✅
Load the dishwasher and put it on ✅
Turn out the lights and head to bed ✅

God I love the ten minutes at night I take for skincare. Washing off the day, nourishing my skin and feeling good about taking care of me after I know everyone else is all sorted and the day is done.

I’d put my right arm on it. I shouldn’t, it’s not like my legs are reliable. I can’t afford to lose an arm too but every day someone makes me ponder the best way to get rid of a body 😂

I’ve been struggling for a while to get the house as clean as I’d like. I have high standards and hate that my body won’t let me clean like I used to so I’m swallowing my pride and going to get a professional in.

What should I be asking them though? How will I know if they’re a good fit? Will they mind that I’ll be home when they’re working? I’m not the hover and supervise type at all and wouldn’t want them to think that. I just literally can’t leave while they’re here unless it’s a Sunday (thanks to my gammy legs)

It has been a day! Hope you’ve all had a great start to the week and aren’t as knackered as me 😂 I’m already in bed and about to pop on a new set of nails that I’ll share tomorrow but for tonight, I’m just leaving this teaser here. Something new is launching Thursday and I’ve used it for the first time tonight. Oh. My. God. My skin loves it! 😍 off to watch The Conjuring and make my nails look pretty. Catch you all in the morning you fabulous feckers 😘

Self Care Sunday 🧖‍♀️

Do you stop and think about how long we spend looking after our faces with cleanser, serum, moisturiser, SPF, the whole shebang.

Meanwhile our hands are over here doing ALL THE WORK and getting about three drops of hand cream when we remember. 😂

Think about everything our hands do for us. The cooking, cleaning, working, typing, driving, opening things, carrying things, caring for other people, cuddling, creating and probably a dozen other jobs we don’t even think about.

They deserve a bit of TLC too 💜

And our hands can actually be one of the first places to show signs of ageing.

As we get older, our skin naturally gets thinner and loses some of its collagen, elasticity and that lovely cushioning underneath the skin. Add years of sun exposure, washing, cleaning products, cold weather and general life, and suddenly those little lines, pigmentation, veins and tendons become a lot more noticeable.

But there’s plenty we can do to look after them.

And that’s where today’s little Self-Care Sunday hand massage comes in. 👋

A few minutes of gentle massage can help:

✨ Relax tired, tense hands
✨ Ease feelings of stiffness
✨ Encourage blood flow to the area
✨ Keep your hands feeling supple
✨ And give you five minutes to actually stop doing things for everyone else.

Use a good hand cream or nourishing oil while you’re doing it and you’re giving your nails and cuticles some love at the same time. Keeping those cuticles moisturised can help stop them becoming dry and ragged, while conditioning the skin around your nails keeps your hands looking beautifully cared for.

And while you’re at it…

SPF on the backs of your hands, ladies. 👀

Sun damage is one of the biggest contributors to premature skin ageing, and our hands are exposed to it far more than we probably realise.

Moisturise after washing, protect them when you’re cleaning, use your SPF and give them a little TLC now and again.

We don’t need to wait until our hands are looking like they’ve spent a decade working down the pit.
