If you haven’t already seen, I’m officially part of the Collection Cosmetics Real Life Beauty Cast 2026 and what an incredible opportunity this has been! When I applied at Superdrug Presents earlier this year I never expected to be picked out of the 100’s of others that applied but here I am 🥺
It feels so healing to my inner child to be a part of this years cast, I grew up with a visible difference and disability, spent years being bullied, hating myself and never seeing myself represented. But here I am today, being exactly what I needed, and what was missing from my life when I was little.
Campaigns like this are SO important for anyone who looks or feels different, especially in the beauty industry. In a world that feels like you have to be a certain way to fit in, the Real Life Beauty campaign proves that is very much not the case and more brands need to take this approach!
If you’re a brand reading this, don’t let campaigns like this be a one-off.
If you’re serious about inclusive casting and want to better represent the 4.9 million people in the UK with a visible difference, get in touch with . Let’s create campaigns where everyone can see themselves reflected. 🦋

My disability isn’t cool (it’s quite traumatic actually) but I am💅🏻
Disabled women are under attack (again) and I am tired. It’s the same old, damaging rhetoric and it needs to end.
Maybe it’s silly to say but I for one am grateful that ‘sickfluencers’ (as Poppy called us) exist because as a result I’ve felt seen and understood - which is exactly what I needed when I was younger.
And not just that, I’ve created a community that I truly adore & friendships that will last a lifetime 🩷
The Telegraph do better.

(but also for extra realism: 99.9% of the time someone else brushes my hair after hair washes as i find them v exhausting x)

surviving a heatwave from one chronic illness girlie to another🫡 i am not doing well & cannot wait for it to be over
It is HOT (once again) and here are some tips on how to survive as a chronically ill girlie! I feel like a lot is self explanatory and already well known but thought I’d share anyways. I really struggle with the heat and know I’m not alone in this, especially when you have a chronic illness and/or rely on medications that can make you more sensitive to heat & heat related illness.
Other tips not included in this carousel:
- Open your windows later in the day/evening when it’s cooler! During the day, keep your windows and curtains shut with your fan on - it should help keep you cooler.
- Ice lollies are a good to have on hand, will help keep you both hydrated and cool!

(GIFTED) | I never thought I would feel confident in my body, but here I am. And this isn’t me saying I feel confident all the time because that would be a lie but I guess I came to the realisation one day that I can’t change anything about they way I look, so I might as well embrace it💅🏻
Thank you so much to for sending me out this beautiful playsuit - I felt like a fairy princess🥺🩷
(Video Description: a video of Katie, a white, blonde woman with severe Kyphoscoliosis. She begins talking to the camera in a short, pink, sparkly playsuit. The next few clips show different angles, including close ups of her back)

Why Are Young Women Using Walking Sticks?
The answer is simple; because they need them.
I spent a long time not using a walking stick when I should have been because i had so much learnt internalised ableism - the constant worry of what people would think, the thought that maybe i’m just ‘dramatic’ but NONE of that was true. I just internalised what I had been hearing (and that breaks my heart for little me)
I think people are forgetting we’re living in a different time…social media exists and it’s changed everything - of course we’re going to see more people who are disabled, who use aids and times have changed, disabled people are making themselves more visible than ever before and rightfully so.
Oh and let’s not forget the MASS disabling event that is Covid.
If anything - people like this? They make me want to be more vocal. I’m never going to shut up about my disability because you’re uncomfortable or find it hard to believe that disabled people exist !!! as they always have done - we are just much more visible now thanks to social media.
