My five cents about Coronavirus 😷

None of us expected 2020 to hit us with a pandemic like this. This is the time that undoubtedly will be tough for all businesses and families. Our priority should be keeping our families and clients safe. It is what it is, it’s what’s happening now, and instead of panic and despair, we all need to refocus on our goals and aims and look to the future.

We don’t have to live in fear. We can focus on our growth. I wish for us all to be back to normality as soon as possible but in the meantime whilst you may be self isolating or have less clients I invite you to take this time to look after you. Do the things you never have time to do. Focus on your goals and practice the all important self care.

But what can you do if you have to stay at home or clients are cancelling the appointments? I’ve made a list of ideas for you to pick at, to turn this negativity into something productive 🥰

💡 Practice your nail art! Get swatches out, watch plenty of YouTube videos, look for inspo on Pinterest and get your skills popping for when things cool down 💅🏻
💡Read a book 📚 I know you never have time in your busy life to do this. Now it’s the time to indulge.
💡Start writing a blog for your clients, talk about aftercare, different treatments available and their benefits, post some inspo for Spring and get them excited for the new designs you want to try out
💡Turn your house into a Spa, give yourself a pedicure, put a face mask on (and I don’t mean the kind most people wear outside atm 😅). You always look after your clients and if you’re anything like me, you come last. Make you the priority.

💡Spend more time with your kids
💡Binge on Netflix
💡Learn a new skill, do an online course.
💡If you haven’t got a website. Create it! Fill it with beautiful photos of your work and think of ways to drive traffic to it!
💡Declutter your salon/home - you would be surprised how much stuff you can get rid of and what stuff you can find
💡 Work our your policy, are you going to take deposits? What’s your cancellation terms?
💡Take your dusty old journal out, get creative, think about your wildest dreams and write them down. That’s the first step to making it happen 💖

And most importantly keep calm 💖

It sucks. But we don’t need to make this time even harder for ourselves.

This too shall pass. In the mean time, let’s get ourselves hyped for the future and build foundations to grow our businesses BIG TIME 👩🏻‍💻💅🏻
