What a month it’s been for our Open Rec program!

So far, participants have enjoyed community care projects and lemonade stands, tested their skills in flight competitions and Boom Simulator experiences, explored working aircraft and the RAF Mildenhall static display, tackled ultimate ninja obstacle courses, walks through historic gardens and spent time horseback riding while learning pony care.

2026 Operation Megaphone was a true representation of this years theme “Reframing Differences as Power”—

🚶🌮 A walking taco bar to highlight personal identity and choice.
🗺️📍Pinning places lived on a world map to represent a variety of life journeys and experiences.
🛼💨 Roller skating to remind them each of the strength and resilience they show every day.

Recap from our annual Purple Up Fest!!! What an incredible Month of the Military Child celebration with our RAF Mildenhall CYP families! 💜

Families enjoyed an afternoon full of fun with a petting zoo, rock wall climbing, face painting, carnival games, and a special photo station that helped capture so many great memories. It was wonderful seeing our community come together to celebrate the strength, resilience, and joy of our military children.

A special thank you to Keesler Federal Credit Union for their generous support and partnership in helping make this celebration possible. Your support of military families and children means so much to our community!
