After we reopened (albeit temporarily) in the Summer of 2020 after the first "lockdown"

We had to adapt to the "New Normal" and redesign and reprogram our layout to accommodate social distancing rules.

this meant abolishing our circuit style training and implementing our "pod system" Giving each client their own station with their own equipment, which was difficult as the equipment we had at the time was not equipped for this, but we adapted the best we could.

But after positive feedback from our clients at the time, this would give birth to the new system going forward.

fast forward to facility number 2, almost 2 years on and our pod system is now in full throttle, each "pod" is equipped with a squat bay, barbells, free weights, a Bench and more.

Giving each client their very own PT experience.

Whilst restrictions have been lifted and there is no longer any need for social distancing, the SGPT sessions have gone on to become the cornerstone of our service at PT Corner, group personal training sessions for up to 6 people.

On average, it takes someone 66 days for a new behaviour to become automatic. 😅

Of course, this can vary from person to person.

But it is such an important thing to bear in mind when you're joining a new facility.

Sure, you want awesome results.

But don't you want to maintain them too?

Health & fitness NEEDS to become a part of your daily routine.

And this does not happen overnight.

It takes time...and that's when it becomes a lifestyle change. 😎

Monday to Thursday is usually pretty straightforward...for those of us that work weekdays, we can stay on track within the routine of our day jobs.

However, when it comes to Fri, Sat & Sun this is usually when most people fall off track.

And the worst part is, that is roughly 42% of your week.

So you see...if you come off track every weekend you're probably undoing all of your hard work from the week.

Sure, you might come off track occasionally.

But think about how consistent you are really being if you are wanting to get awesome results. ✅

✅ Change your environment > get those tempting naughty foods out of the house.

⏰ Plan ahead of time > when you're starving and in a hurry, this is the time you're most likely to overeat.

😎 Resist > you could just be craving, stressed or in a bad eating habit. Wait 10-15 minutes to see if you really need it.

📅 Get back on track > falling off the wagon is OK! The real mistakes are made when you don't get back on.

We first set the facility up 2.5 years and we did this because both Dave and Callum were personal trainers at another local gym.

Personal training can be quite expensive, costing around £20-30 per one-hour session.

They found that lots of people were interested in personal training but just couldn’t afford it.

So they wanted to make it more affordable and more accessible to more people.
