[09/08/17]   Do you love Mondays? According to researchers from Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Mondays are statistically the best day to kick start a weight loss or fitness regime.

However, there are lots of other days of the year that just might suit you better depending on what motivates you and the things you associate with a new start.

Magic Mondays

Mondays kick off a new week and many people have a strong association with ‘starting something’ on a Monday.
If you’ve ever indulged over a weekend or during a holiday and then declared ‘the diet starts on Monday’, you’ll instantly recognize how valuable the start of the week can be.

Researchers at the Wharton School refer to dates and times with strong associations as temporal landmarks and while Mondays work for some people, there are lots of other common landmarks that offer springboards for success.

New Year, new you (again)

The start of the year is a hugely popular time to start a new approach to fitness, diet or even kicking a habit such as smoking. Statistically those that start a regime on 1 January (or more realistically 2 January) have a high chance of reaching their goals.
However, research published in the New England Journal of Medicine suggests that consumers in some of the most developed countries typically gain weight in the months from November to April.

The fact that these are some of the darkest and coldest months outside of the tropics may contribute to this theory.
After all, we expose our bodies less in the colder months with many of us aspiring to look good and feel good when holidaying in the sun. Some of us fall off the dieting wagon in the spring, it seems.

Other popular temporal landmarks include birthdays, the first day of the month or national quit events that successfully combine the sense of a new start with a shared common objective.

On track in October

Holidays present an opportunity to indulge; a little too much food, drink and maybe a break from our exercise regime seems to present the opportunity of weight gain. But it seems that the body tries to help us into our bikinis.

Small fluctuations in weight during the summer means that by the time we hit September and October, our weight is typically the lowest it will be all year.

Kick starting a weight loss or fitness plan on Monday 1 October would seem the optimum occasion but don’t wait until next year (check your calendar). Starting on Monday 2 October 2017 seems like a good compromise.

So why not kickstart your good intentions with a course of treatments with Bodysculpture

[06/14/17]   Please be aware that there is a desperate need for blood donors throughout the U.K. I have donated every time since I was 18 and would encourage everyone who can to do the same especially during these terrible times.
Apart from anything else, it is a constant check on your own health and well being and without someone else's generosity I would not have survived past the age of 13 when I had an operation, just a tonsillectomy, but needed a blood transfusion
It takes only one hour of your time, is painless and think of the lives you could save. Remember it is better to give than to receive, so sign up today
Thank you for taking the time to read this and even more thanks if you sign up
Lots of love

Shockmaster method of Acoustic Wave Therapy

[05/11/17]   Recent Reviews

[05/11/17]   Acoustic Wave Therapy (AWT) is all about inch-loss and utilises a hand piece that produces a radial sound wave, which when applied to problem areas of the body makes miniscule perforations to the fat cells causing them to bleed into the lymphatic system by osmosis.
The fat loss results in a rapid decrease in size and the sound waves stimulate the body’s production of collagen, increasing the skin’s elasticity and thereby toning the skin and preventing sagging, frequently associated with weight loss.
The fact that you can select areas to be reduced effectively means that you can choose the shape you want to be. Sound waves are harmless and have no side effects and therefore should not be confused with laser treatments
