If you buy your cocoa butter from one supplier and your cocoa powder from another, you are running two origins for material that could have come off the same beans.
Plenty of makers do it, usually because the range grew one product at a time and nobody went back to tidy it up. It is worth going back.
We supply five lines out of Ghana. Cocoa butter. 100 per cent cocoa mass. Natural non-alkalised cocoa powder. Roasted cocoa nibs. And wild harvested Grade A shea butter.
The four cocoa lines are the same beans at four stages. Fermented, sun dried at origin, roasted, then taken apart at our partner facility in Tema. So the butter you add to a bar and the powder you finish it with share a lineage, not just a shelf.
Shea is the exception and we say so plainly. It is its own material, gathered from wild trees in Northern Ghana. It is not a cocoa butter substitute and we have never sold it as one.
What the range buys a buyer is dull and useful. One origin to put in front of your technical team, one relationship to keep warm, and one place to ask when a specification question comes up. On the butter, the mass and the powder, the certificate of analysis for the batch is available on request.
If you are buying cocoa this quarter and something else next, tell us what you run and we will come back on it: https://www.cocoafoundry.co.uk/pages/social-enquiry?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social

Cocoa is still trading at roughly double its historical norm — and under that pressure a lot of the mass market has quietly swapped real cocoa butter for palm or shea oil and cut the cocoa content. You won't see it announced. You'll see it on the ingredients panel later.
We run the other way: single-origin Ghana cocoa butter, sun-dried, one origin, no substitution, and a certificate of analysis on every batch — the actual lab numbers.
If your product sells on being real chocolate, the butter has to actually be cocoa butter.

Every batch we ship carries a Certificate of Analysis.
For a chocolatier or a baker, that is the difference between a supplier and a gamble. You know the spec before it goes near your production, and what you signed off last time is what arrives next time.

This Is What Fast Supply Chain Really Looks Like. ✈️📦
Yesterday I shared that our emergency Ghana cocoa butter batch landed with full CPC verification — while the main sea‑freight shipment is still en route.
Here’s the part most suppliers won’t tell you:
I collected that airfreight myself on Saturday to keep Deliciously Guilt Free’s production running.
No delays.
No excuses.
No “we’ll process it on Monday”.
Just a straight run to the cargo terminal so UK makers stay on schedule.
If you need Natural Prime Press Ghana cocoa butter with a lab‑verified Certificate of Analysis, we’ve got this batch ready to distribute immediately.
👉 DM if you want the CoA or to secure a box before the sea‑load arrives.
