I had the best day yesterday in the company of some truly wonderful and totally gorgeous women, and then ended the day with this!!!! A stop at Dors’ London home. Always wanted to visit here, so happy I finally did it. Had a little moment on the steps (because I’m daft) and then headed home with sore feet and a happy heart. 💖

Without discovering Marilyn and without her profound influence on me, I may never have experienced my life as I have thus far. This video is a silly tribute to Marilyn as Lorelei Lee in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, more specially directly inspired by her publicity shots for the film by John Florea, which I’ve always loved.

I absolutely love these publicity stills of Marilyn, taken by John Florea for the promotion of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes in 1953. I’m not sure if rolling around and playing with mounds of cash would have been fun for Marilyn or not, but it sure would be for me 😂! Maybe I should try it one day…?
