In simple terms, anxiety is the bodyâs alarm system. Itâs designed to warn you when you might be in danger. The problem? That alarm doesnât always know the difference between a real threat and an imagined one â like worrying about what might happen, what others think, or what could go wrong.

Like you, I have found the start of autumn, personally, overwhelming. My own children starting back at school, new routines to encounter, nights drawing in, weather changes, temperature changes, moods altering in the house due to tiredness.
It takes its toll.
I have to work hard not to mirror my families moods, and aim for them to mirror me. It's tough, and it's draining.
On the other hand, I'm extremely fortunate. I know how to reframe my mood, I know I handle myself better when faced with challenges, I know the changes I have made has made us all happier.
