One in two women experiencing pelvic floor symptoms stop playing sport or exercising.
The majority of women had told no one within sport/exercise settings about their pelvic floor symptoms.
Midlife is a common time for new or worsening pelvic floor symptoms and this can be a major barrier for women who want to exercise.
This survey of 4500 women in Australia concluded that:
-women want support and endorse respectful questions about symptoms from fitness professionals.
-Exercise professionals can help by showing empathy, knowledge and trustworthiness
Better conversations --> better support for women --> more women able to exercise

Information Overload? 🧠💨
Is it just me, or does trying to navigate menopause feel overwhelming with so much information, often conflicting each other, and feels like you'll never manage to do everything that your told you should be doing!
One minute you’re reading about HRT, the next you’re down a rabbit hole of supplements, magnesium sprays, and whether or not collagen is actually just a scam or not!
The Struggle is Real
When we’re already dealing with "menopause brain," the last thing we need is a flood of conflicting advice. This just leads to decision paralysis:
Should I lift heavy weights or stick to yoga?
Is caffeine the enemy or my only friend?
Why are there 50 different supplements for night sweats?!
3 Ways to Cut the Noise:
Pick Your Experts: Follow 2 or 3 evidence-based professionals (doctors or certified specialists) and mute the rest. Quality > Quantity.
One Change at a Time: Don’t overhaul your entire life on Monday. Try one adjustment for two weeks and see how your body reacts.
Log Your Symptoms: Use a simple app or notebook. Real data from your own body is worth more than a thousand "viral hacks."
Bottom line: You don't need to do everything to feel better. You just need to do what works for you.
Take a deep breath. Close the tabs. You’ve got this. ⚡️

Yesterday I shared some information about the benefits of exercising for helping during menopause transition, today its all about nutrition and some handy tips to help reduce symptoms and feel healthier. Take a look at the attached information sheet and see what small changes you can make to your diet.
Exercising during the menopause transition can feel out of reach and daunting with the list of symptoms and then life of top but the benefits are extensive and can help to relieve some symptoms and beat the stress. The article below outlines the benefits of exercising regularly while going through menopause.
If you already exercise, which have you found to be the biggest benefit?
For me its the mental health side of things that exercise really helps with, it clears my head, reduces feelings of stress and anxiety and definitely helps with the meno rage! 😬🤬
