Wow. What another cracking Drop.

Check this out!

Easy Does It - Betelgeuse by . An enticing note of iris with a powdery core creates a comforting feeling. But first, the hazy floral opening is bright and fresh. But let’s not forget the oak moss and coffee base!

Buckle Up - Vanilj by .njie.perfumes. Toasted cardamom, warm cedar with a bit of boozy rum gives a fresh vanilla fragrance.

Take Me To Mars - Dead Air by . Salty, dusty and fresh fallen leaves. With freesia at the top and Oakwood, verifier and patchouli at the bottom.

A delicious selection that’s hard to pick a winner from!

Travelling again. But of course I have a couple of companions.

This months Drop from is stellar.

Easy Does It offers us Naked Dance by . A gentle scent with orris, rice powder, sandalwood, verifier and tonka. But don’t forget those lovely soft musks!

Buckle Up offers Mysuru Amber by . A satisfying blend of amber and sandalwood. Warm and a bit spicy.

Take Me To Mars offers us Underworld by . Smouldering and smokey, with carrot seed and patchouli.

Delicious!

Have you tried any of these fragrances?

I was asked for recommended alternatives to Unnamed by .

Here are my thoughts!

Concrete by (very powdery!)

Tistar by (well balanced and rounded)

Berlin by .stories (my wild card).

In addition to these you could try:

Iris Poudre by (defiantly that violet note)

Blanc Violet by (super contender!)

What other Violet / Powder contenders I’ve missed?

Does your sample collection look this?

Mine is a mess. But a treasure trove of goodies.

Can you spot any of your favourites?

I bet you’ve not tried this yet?

Let me tell you about . I’m in love.

Inspiration for their fragrances comes from unexpected encounters, good conversations, in moments you find something in common. From a visual that catches your attention.

All small batch. Sustainable. Crafted by incredible perfumers and creatives. All Extrait, so packed full of punch from that extra perfume oil.

There’s (currently) three in the range. All very unique and moreish.

Naked Dance - Warm, intimate, comforting, sun warmed skin.Oil paintings, temple dust, drying lily and wood.
Musky, milky, powdery, a little soapy and bitter.

Resonant - Cold explosion, loud spark, vibrating metal, perfect rhythm. Citrus garden in a storm, crisp ether, zesty energy. Hot iron, dry wood, thin line, sharp curve.

Dead Air - A slaty breeze by the see at night, a faded memory. Wet rocks, fallen leafs, ripe fruits, burnt sugar, velvet void. Dusty stage drapes in a theatre, a reflection in a hazy mirror.

These fragrances are such a wonderful discovery. VERY me with their sharp and interesting edges.

Get your hands on these while you can. And have a UK exclusive right now!

Had to dust this one down.

Beau de Jour by .

For me this is an awesome version of a barbershop cologne and on this occasion I don’t think the notes do it justice.

Top notes: lavender, lavandin
Heart: rosemary, geranium, mint, oak moss, basil
Base: amber, patchouli

It’s very clear and warm with aromats and somewhat fresh.

It has great staying power and really gives you the sense of a barber fresh feeling.

Here’s some firsts fragrance inspiration!

Realist by - Invigorating and fresh. Yuzu, cedarwood, incense. Ideal if you’re going out tonight.

Unsettled by - Deep and woody, with a twist. Bergamot, pineapple, sandalwood. A perfect damp day all-rounder.

Jasmin Yucatan by - Damp and fresh. Floral, citrus and green. Perfect for wallowing the day away, dreaming of your next holiday.

Which one would you choose?

Comme des Garcons 2 Man by is my scent of the day.

Originally launched in 2004, it’s been a staple in my collection since then.

It’s a great all rounder; safe for work, on a hangover and will be great all year round. Although I find the colder days being out the spice in this fragrance that little bit better.

It’s one of over 100 fragrances in the range. And firmly in my top 10.

My top January picks to get the month going.

Baie 19 by - Crisp, damp and green. Great for getting out and about.

Resonant by - Musky yet fresh. A perfect all rounder.

Sous Bois by - Pine, florals and a bit of warmth. Good for a date.

Saltburn Driftwood - Damp wood, fire, rock pools. Find an excuse not to wear this.
