Did you know that oils don’t always stay fresh?
When oils are exposed to oxygen, heat and light, they can begin to oxidise. This process is often referred to as oils becoming rancid.
As oils oxidise, they can produce compounds known as lipid peroxides and free radicals. These compounds are associated with oxidative stress and may contribute to irritation and inflammatory processes within the skin.
What’s particularly interesting is that your scalp already produces its own natural oils, known as sebum.
Research has shown that oxidised scalp lipids can be associated with inflammation, irritation, microbial imbalance and scalp conditions such as dandruff.
This doesn’t mean oils are bad.
In fact, many oils can be beneficial when they are fresh, stable and used appropriately.
The real question is: what happens when oils sit on the scalp for prolonged periods, become oxidised and mix with dead skin cells, environmental pollutants and other buildup?
A healthy hair follicle relies on a healthy scalp environment.
That’s why scalp health isn’t just about what you put on the scalp. It’s also about what you remove.
Healthy cleansing helps remove excess sebum, oxidised oils and buildup, creating a cleaner environment for the follicle to function.
Because healthy follicles thrive in a healthy scalp environment.

🔬 EPISODE 4:
Hair Fibres vs Follicle Health
Hair fibres can be a fantastic confidence booster.
Within seconds, they can make thinning hair appear fuller and help disguise areas where the scalp is more visible.
For many people, that’s a valuable benefit.
But it’s important to understand what hair fibres actually do.
Hair fibres work by attaching to existing hair strands, creating the appearance of greater density.
What they don’t do is influence the health of the follicle itself.
They don’t improve blood supply.
They don’t provide nutrients.
They don’t support the scalp environment.
They don’t address inflammation or follicle function.
This doesn’t make them bad products.
It simply means they’re solving a different problem.
Think of hair fibres as cosmetic support, not follicle support.
Our philosophy focuses on creating the healthiest possible environment for the scalp and follicles so hair has the best conditions to thrive over the long term.
Different products have different purposes.
Understanding the difference helps you make informed choices about your hair care journey.

🔬 EPISODE 3:
Expensive Ampoules vs Real Results
When it comes to hair care, many people assume that a higher price means better results.
But is that always true?
Premium hair ampoules can cost hundreds of pounds over the course of a few months, often promising healthier, fuller-looking hair.
Some contain excellent ingredients and may be a valuable part of a hair care routine.
However, price alone does not determine effectiveness.
When assessing a product, it is worth asking:
âś“ What ingredients does it contain?
âś“ Are those ingredients present in meaningful amounts?
âś“ Is it addressing the underlying needs of the scalp and follicle?
âś“ Is it affordable enough to use consistently?
âś“ Does it fit into a long-term hair health strategy?
Hair follicles don’t know how much a product costs.
They respond to the environment around them.
Healthy circulation, adequate nutrition, scalp health, follicle function and consistent care often play a much bigger role than luxury packaging or premium branding.
This is why our philosophy focuses on effective formulations, meaningful ingredients and supporting the scalp environment over the long term.
Different products. Different promises.
Understanding what you’re paying for helps you make informed choices about your hair care journey.
Have you ever purchased an expensive hair product that didn’t live up to expectations?

🔬 EPISODE 2:
Genetics & DHT vs The Whole Hair Growth Story
When people experience hair loss, one of the first things they often hear is:
“It’s genetic.”
While genetics and DHT can play an important role in pattern hair loss, they are rarely the entire story.
DHT may influence susceptible follicles, but hair growth is also affected by many other factors, including:
âś“ Nutrition
âś“ Stress
âś“ Scalp health
âś“ Blood supply
âś“ Inflammation
âś“ Hormonal balance
âś“ Follicle function
Think of genetics as the blueprint, not necessarily the finished building.
Many people carry the same genetic predisposition for years before hair loss becomes noticeable. Often, changes in lifestyle, health, stress levels, nutrition or scalp condition can influence how the follicle performs.
This is why we believe in looking beyond a single pathway and supporting the overall environment in which the follicle operates.
Healthy hair depends on more than genetics alone.
Different approaches. Different goals.
Understanding the whole picture helps you make informed choices about your hair health journey.
Have you ever been told your hair loss is “just genetic”?

EPISODE 1:
Does More Blood Flow Automatically Mean More Hair Growth?
Minoxidil is one of the most recognised treatments for hair loss and has helped many people maintain and regrow hair.
Its primary action is increasing blood flow around the hair follicle.
However, blood flow is only one part of the picture.
A hair follicle also depends on adequate nutrients, proteins, minerals, trace elements, scalp health and an environment that supports healthy hair growth.
Think of it this way: increasing the delivery system is helpful, but the quality of what is being delivered matters too.
This is why our philosophy focuses on supporting overall scalp and follicle health rather than relying on a single pathway alone.
Different products have different strengths. Understanding what each product does can help you make more informed choices about your hair care routine.
