Iโve always loved Pamela Anderson.
For years she was the definition of full glam. Big hair, makeup, the lot. And now sheโs turning up to events with no makeup on and honestlyโฆ I love that just as much.
I think what sheโs showing women is that you donโt have to choose.
You can love getting glammed up and still feel beautiful completely natural.
One doesnโt cancel out the other.
As someone who spends her days creating big, beautiful hairstyles (and who loves a Pammy updo ๐คญ), I think thatโs a pretty powerful message.
And letโs face itโฆ You know youโve made it when youโve got an entire hairstyle named after you ๐คญ โThe Pammyโ has become iconic in its own right. Love her or not, creating a hairstyle thatโs still being asked for 30 years later is pretty impressive ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ

This week has been full of gorgeous hair and even better conversationsโฆ
A few laughs, plenty of curls, approximately 7,462 grips. Weโve had plenty of โcan you just hold that for a second?โ while I try to find the grip Iโve just dropped but above all, some absolutely beautiful ladies in my chair!
Running your own business can be a rollercoaster, but weeks like this remind me exactly why I took the leap.

Last night I swapped curling wands and wedding timelines for notebooks and social media strategy at Social Success Live.
Itโs easy to think that running a business is all about what happens behind the chair, but the truth is thereโs so much more to it.
The hair you see on my page is only possible because of the hours spent learning, planning, creating content, building relationships and constantly looking for ways to improve.
One thing I took away from last night is that nobody grows by standing still.
So whilst wedding hair will always be my first love, Iโm committed to learning, growing and making Hair Up by Hanna the very best it can be, including the growth of Hanna Ever After โจ
A huge thank you to for bringing so many incredible women together in one room. I left with lots of ideas, lots of motivation and a notes app thatโs now completely out of control. ๐

The sun is out, the kettle has worked overtime, and Iโve had some really gorgeous clients today! So hereโs a couple of this morningโs hair ups that Iโve absolutely loved creating โจ
Meanwhile, I painted the hallway yesterday and now move with all the grace and flexibility of a 90-year-old garden gnomeโฆ My clients had a great time watching me attempt to bend down every time I dropped a clip. I say โbend downโโฆ it was more of a slow, painful squat accompanied by a few sound effects that definitely werenโt intentional ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ๐คฃ
Is it socially acceptable to start thinking about bedtime before lunchtime?
