There are around 7–10 different fan-making techniques — that’s why there’s no such thing as one perfect tweezer. Step 1: Consultation - During this phase, clients often bring in photos from the Internet as inspiration for their desired look. It’s important to remind them that the eyelash set in the picture may have been applied to a different eye shape. As an eyelash artist, your role is to clarify how the same set of lashes will appear differently based on their unique eye shape.

Step 2: Technical Considerations - Working with hooded eyes can be a bit challenging. You need to remember that with hooded eyes, the lashes tend to grow downward due to the weight of the eyelid. Opting for an L curl is usually the best choice. When mapping out the lash set, focus on the area of the eye that is most hooded—whether it’s near the nose, the outer corner, or the center—and ensure that this area is well-covered by the lashes.

Another crucial aspect is managing the pressure on the lashes, which can cause them to bend downwards. It’s essential to use lighter thicknesses for the lashes. You can also incorporate thicker lashes in the strongest areas to provide support and structure.
