100lbs down!! 🤍

After 12 months of hard work I’ve finally lost 100lbs. I wouldn’t have been able to get through this year without sorting my head out and prioritising the gym, swimming and tracking my macros.

I’ve completely changed my perspective on health and fitness. This journey has never just been about the number on the scales, it’s been about becoming stronger, happier and showing up as the best version of myself for my children.

100lbs ago I never thought this would be possible, but one year later I’m living proof that small changes and consistency really do add up.

When George got his CMV diagnosis last year, I knew I wouldn’t have mentally survived it without changing my lifestyle. So that’s exactly what I did.

I chose to focus on becoming stronger, both physically and mentally, and somewhere along the way I found myself again.

This isn’t the end of my journey, but I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come.

Firstly, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has messaged me and shown excitement about me returning to makeup. Your support over so many years has meant so much to me, and I truly appreciate every message and enquiry.

After a lot of thought, I’ve decided that I won’t be returning to makeup at this time. Life has changed a lot, and right now my priorities are with my family. George needs a significant amount of support following his surgery and appointments, and I know that I need to focus my time and energy where I’m needed most.

Because of this, I’ve made the decision to change my page name from Abbie Chanel Makeup to simply Abbie Chanel. Whilst makeup has been a big part of my journey, I feel this better reflects where I am in life right now.

This isn’t goodbye forever, and I don’t want to say never, but for now I’m choosing to give myself grace and accept that I can’t do everything at once.

Thank you all for your continued support, kindness and understanding. It truly means more than you know, and I’m excited to share the next chapter with you all. ❤️

I am a third-year student nurse with a deep-rooted passion for care, precision, and enhancing natural beauty. My journey began in makeup artistry, where I developed a refined eye for detail before stepping away to fully pursue my nursing career; deepening my knowledge of skin, anatomy and patient care.

Now, I return to the beauty industry with a more advanced, holistic approach. Specialising in aesthetics and bespoke facial treatments designed to deliver both results and confidence.

Based in Nantwich at JOYS Beauty Salon, I am proud to bring together clinical knowledge with a luxury beauty experience. Every treatment I offer is carried out with care, intention, and a commitment to helping you feel your most confident and radiant self.

A little life update & diary opening from May 🤍

I’ve been quite quiet on here for a while, so I just wanted to share a little update.

Over the past year my focus has been on my family and my studies at university, as well as welcoming my baby boy George into the world. George needs some additional support, so a lot of our time has been spent attending different appointments and learning how best to support him as he grows. We’ve been working closely with teams including physiotherapy, audiology, speech and language and his paediatrician, with appointments at Alder Hey and Manchester Royal as part of his journey towards cochlear implants.

It’s been a busy and emotional time for our family, but also incredibly special as we watch him grow and celebrate all of his milestones.

Because of this, I stepped back from makeup for a while to give my family and studies the attention they needed.

Now that things are settling into a new rhythm, I’m really excited to slowly start doing something I’ve always loved again. So I’m happy to say that my makeup diary will be reopening from May onwards. 💄
