For a long while now I have wanted to incorporate canvas into my work, this is an example of the look it can achieve. I made this tote bag last month and the results were awesome. There is still some fine tuning to work out but I would say I’m 90% there! My roll top backpack is going to get the same make over so watch this space!!

This is a machine stitched wallet rather than my usual hand stitching.

Me and my new sewing machine. This is super exciting for Colville Leather.
I love hand stitching and I love the finish it gives, but truth is that there is also a place in my work for a sewing machine. It’s been a careful decision, and I think it’s definitely the right one.
