It’s just dawned on me today… my business is officially 13 years old! 🎉 🥳

Honestly, where has that time gone?! 🤯

13 years ago I took a leap of faith, followed my dream, and opened the doors to what is now Deanna - Home of Beauty. I could never have imagined the incredible journey that lay ahead.

Over the years I’ve met so many wonderful people, watched families grow, shared laughter, tears, life updates, weddings, babies, new jobs, and everything in between. Many of you started as clients and have become friends. ❤️

To every single person who has supported my business over the last 13 years – whether you’ve been with me since day one, visited once, or have only recently found me – thank you.

Thank you for choosing me, trusting me, recommending me, sharing my posts, and keeping my little business going through the highs and lows.

Running a small business can be challenging, but it’s also incredibly rewarding when you’re lucky enough to have such amazing clients around you.

So here’s to 13 years of beauty treatments, chats, laughter, friendships, and memories… and hopefully many more to come! 🥂✨

I’ve planned my Christmas stock and I’m on the hunt for Christmas markets/fairs to trade at this year.

A few I’ve done the last couple of years sadly aren’t running:
• Normanby Hall – they are not doing a market this year.
• Mount Pleasant – already full
• Beverley – application going in 🤞

So I need some new ones to try!

I’m ideally looking for good footfall, well-advertised events, and decent stallholder mixes (no oversaturation 🙃).

But I’d LOVE personal recommendations…

Sign the Petition Reopen Westwoodside Post Office

The salon is closed for the week so I can enjoy some of the beautiful scenery of the Fjords. Salon will reopen Tuesday 14th April.

🕯️ Calling Local Candle Makers 🕯️

I’m looking for a local candle maker to stock candles in my salon. Please no wax melts. Just candles.

I like to support small businesses by offering shelf space in the salon on a commission basis, giving products exposure to my clients.

Candles must be locally produced and meet all UK safety regulations and labelling requirements.

You guys know I do my best not put up my prices but unfortunately it’s become necessary after 3 years.

With rising costs across suppliers and the general salon running costs, it’s finally caught up with me.
There will be an increase of a maximum £2 across treatments.

This increase will take effect from 1st April 2026.

I am so grateful for each and every one of you and thank you all for your support.

I cannot believe it’s THAT time of the year again!! 🤯 I was up and out the door food shopping at 6.30am 😴 was real easy and quiet. No queues! 3 shops later, home by 9am.

Finally got a day to make my house look like Santa and his elves have sprinkled Christmas all around 🥰 its like Santa’s grotto but still hours of wrapping to do though 🤯

Just want to Thank you for all your support this year. I honestly couldn’t do it without you! I’m so grateful for every appointment, message, and all the gorgeous cards and gifts 🥰
