💚✨ WHY I NO LONGER OFFER MASSAGE THERAPY SERVICES TO MEN ✨💚

After receiving a text message today, I feel I need to address this properly, because quite frankly, I’m absolutely fed up with having to justify myself for setting professional boundaries!

Massage therapy is a PROFESSIONAL, THERAPEUTIC TREATMENT designed to help with relaxation, muscle tension, stress relief and overall wellbeing.

It is NOT an invitation for inappropriate comments, sexual innuendos or suggestive behaviour!

Unfortunately, over time, I have experienced situations that have made me feel extremely uncomfortable whilst simply trying to do my job.

❌ Inappropriate comments and sexual innuendos.

❌ Suggestive remarks that have absolutely no place in a professional treatment environment.

❌ Being made to feel uncomfortable whilst carrying out a treatment I am fully trained and qualified to provide.

❌ Being told that “a Thai massage parlour does an actual full body massage for the same price you charge.”

And then, when I politely decline to provide a treatment or make it clear that I am uncomfortable, I get called SEXIST by the very man making these comments!

Seriously? What an absolute joke! 🙄

Let me make something perfectly clear.

I AM A QUALIFIED PROFESSIONAL, NOT SOMEONE YOU CAN MAKE INAPPROPRIATE SUGGESTIONS TO!

I have spent years training, gaining qualifications, building my knowledge and working hard to provide professional treatments to my clients.

I should not have to feel uncomfortable, embarrassed or intimidated whilst doing my job.

And I certainly should not be made to feel guilty for saying NO!

My treatment room is a professional environment, and I expect to be treated with exactly the same respect that I show every single client.

💚 So, why have I made the decision to stop offering massage therapy services to male clients?

Because my personal safety, comfort and wellbeing matter too!

This is not about having anything against men. I have treated some absolutely lovely, respectful male clients over the years, and I appreciate every one of them.

However, the inappropriate experiences and comments I have received have led me to make this decision for my own comfort and peace of mind.

Being a professional does not mean I have to tolerate disrespect.

Setting boundaries does not make me a bad person.

And saying NO should never result in insults or accusations!

I will never apologise for protecting myself or maintaining my professional standards.

Massage therapy is just that — THERAPY. NOTHING MORE!

If you’re looking for something other than a legitimate therapeutic massage, then you are contacting the wrong person!
