Merry Christmas āØ
As the year gently comes to a close, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for trusting me, for showing up for yourself and for allowing me to be part of your journey this year.
I know Christmas can be full of joyā¦and also a little heavy at times. So wherever you are right now, I hope youāre able to find moments of rest, calm and comfort - even if itās just a pause and a deep breath.
May this season bring softness, warmth and space to just be. And may the new year meet you with steadier energy and kinder days.

This šš»
Itās not unusual to feel sleepy, heavy, or even emotionally drained after a reflexology session, and itās actually a good sign that your body is responding.
Reflexology activates the parasympathetic nervous system - the ārest and digestā branch responsible for slowing the heart rate, lowering blood pressure, and triggering recovery processes. When the body shifts out of a chronic stress state (sympathetic dominance), it finally has permission to relax, repair, and rebalance.
That deep relaxation can sometimes feel like fatigue, especially if your system has been running on adrenaline or stress hormones for a long time. The tiredness isnāt a side effect. Itās a signal that your body is resetting its internal balance.
š Research supports this response:
Studies, including McVicar et al. (Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice, 2007), show measurable reductions in heart rate, blood pressure, and anxiety levels following reflexology - clear indicators of parasympathetic activation.
A 2011 pilot study published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine found that reflexology sessions produced significant decreases in salivary cortisol (the bodyās main stress hormone), reinforcing the link between reflexology and stress reduction.
Improvements in sleep quality and relaxation have been documented across multiple clinical settings, from cancer care to maternity wards, all pointing to the same physiological mechanism of rest and regulation.
š§ How to support your body afterward:
Drink water to help the body process metabolic by-products released during deep relaxation.
Avoid caffeine or alcohol immediately after your session to prolong the calm.
Rest if you can, even a short nap or quiet time helps integrate the benefits.
Feeling tired after reflexology is simply your body exhaling and catching up on the rest itās been asking for. š“

A gentle reminder on this Stress Awareness Day - your body feels what your mind tries to ignore.
You know that moment when you finally stopā¦and realise how much tension youāve been carrying?
Your shoulders. Your jaw. Your chest. Sometimes even your stomach.
Stress doesnāt just live in your head. It lives in your body.
Reflexology gives your nervous system a chance to exhale. A space where your body gets to softenā¦releaseā¦reset.
If you're feeling:
* Overwhelmed
* Wired but exhausted
* Pulled in every direction
You donāt need to ājust push throughā. Youāre allowed to pause. Youāre allowed to take your power back.
Message INFO if youād like a session that helps your body feel safe to relax again.

*Stress Awareness Week*
Stress affects performance long before it shows up in sickness.
You can see stress in people:
* Interrupted sleep
* Constant tight shoulders
* Overthinking
* Feeling wired and tired
Reflexology is powerful for this because it works with the nervous system. It helps switch off the āfight or flightā stress response and activate the ārest and recoverā mode. In other words, it helps people breathe again.
Think clearer. Sleep better.
Less stress = better decisions. Better decisions = better business.
Investing in wellbeing isnāt fluffy.
Itās strategic.
Message INFO to talk about workplace wellbeing sessions.

⨠A (very) belated welcome to NovemberāØ
Yesterday was full-on granny duty - sticky fingers, tiny cuddles and zero chance of remembering what day it was š And honestly? I wouldnāt swap it for the world š©·
So here we are⦠arriving into November just a little late and a lot more heart-full.
This month feels different, doesnāt it? The pace naturally slows. The light shifts. The body whispers for rest, not resolutions.
November invites us to soften. To choose cosy. To say no more often, so we can say yes to what really matters.
If youāve been running on empty, feeling overwhelmed, or just tired in your bones - this is your nudge.
Reflexology is a beautiful way⦠to just pauseā¦to breathe againā¦to let your nervous system finally switch off.
If your body is asking for that kind of support, message me and Iāll send you the details.
Hereās to a slower November. More cups of tea. More softness. More you š©·

Ever have one of those weeks where your mindās racing and your body just feels⦠done? Thatās when you know itās time to stop, breathe and let someone look after you for a change.
One of my lovely clients came in recently for reflexology and a little reiki afterwards. She left saying she felt like a new woman.
Sometimes it really is that simple.
An hour or so of calm. Some quiet. And a pair of hands that know where to find the tension hiding.
If youāve been thinking about booking in - donāt overthink it.
Just book. Youāll walk out lighter.

šø World Menopause Day šø
Letās talk menopause. Not as something to āget throughā, but as a new chapter that deserves care, support and balance.
This yearās focus is Lifestyle Medicine - the small, everyday choices that can make a huge difference to how you feel. Things likeā¦
š¤ Rest (real rest, not just crashing at the end of the day)
š„ Nourishing food
š¶ Movement that feels good
š¬ Connection - with yourself and others
šæ And therapies that calm your nervous system and help you feel more āyouā again
Reflexology can be a beautiful part of that picture. It supports the bodyās natural balance, helps regulate stress hormones and gives you space to pause - something that can feel rare during this transition.
Menopause isnāt the end of vitality - itās a shift, and with the right support, it can be a gentler one.

Sometimes, we need to take our own advice.
Itās been a little quieter here lately - Iāve been under the weather and needed some proper time to rest and recover.
Itās funny how easily we remind others to slow down, to listen to their bodies and to take a step back when they need it⦠yet forget to do the same ourselves š
This little pause has been a good reminder that even as therapists, weāre human too. Rest isnāt a weakness. Itās part of the healing.
Iām feeling brighter now and slowly getting back into the swing of things - thank you for your patience and understanding š
Take this as your gentle nudge to rest if you need it too.

š World Mental Health Day š
A little reminder todayā¦
ļæ½You donāt have to have it all together. You donāt have to be āfineā. You just have to be.
Mental health isnāt about constant calm or endless positivity. Itās about noticing how you feel, giving it space, and taking small, kind steps to care for yourself.
Restā¦Breatheā¦Step outside for a momentā¦Book that reflexology sessionā¦Talkā¦Ask for help.ļæ½
Do one gentle thing that tells your mind and body,ļæ½āIām listeningā.
Because you matter. Not just today - but every day.
