I had the absolute pleasure of doing hair last month for her wedding. She looked stunning 😍
This will be my last bride for the foreseeable future. I’ve loved doing bridal hair over the years but moving forward I’m taking on less commitments over weekends. I have a few recommendations for any of my future clients.

ANDREW ROURKE 1973-2025

Andrew died on 10 August leaving behind his distraught husband, family, many friends and hairdressing clients. He was loved by all.

A celebrant-led celebration of his life is to be held on Saturday 23 August at 7.30pm for 8.00pm at the Rainbow Loft, 31 S Ward Road (behind Hilton Hotel). Dundee. All welcome. Please dress ‘colourfully’. Memories and photos appreciated in advance (to Adam). A future daytime celebration is being planned for those unable to attend.

Adam, Trish Gayle and myself are devastated. Blu’s doors will be closed for the rest of the week. Thanks

Hair Stylist
Experienced independent and self-employed operator required to join our fabulous and long-established small team at Blu Hair & Beauty, at our home on Dundee Law. You will be aged over 18 with either 3 years continuous experience of professional hairdressing and/or have completed and qualified in hairdressing, with at least 2 years college training. You will be talented and competent and be used to looking after your own column, appointments and payments. You’ll enjoy working in our super-friendly salon, which is located in a private garden, next to Dudhope Park. You’ll be extending your clientele and they will love your new spacious workplace, which is within easy walking and wheeling distance of the city centre, and is outwith the L*Z and restricted parking areas.
