My client came to me after a slightly traumatic experience (no need for details, just positive vibes here 🧘♀️) but she had worked hard to get her nails in a good shape, only to have 2 appointments ruin them.
You can’t treat damaged nails the same way as healthy nails 🩹. They are sensitive, and the last thing anyone wants to do is cause more damage. Right??
The previous product was not budging. But rather than use more aggressive techniques to remove every last part - I got rid of what I could SAFELY remove.
I couldn’t prep in my usual way because the nails were too tender. And I had my suspicions that this set wouldn’t last as long as normal. But I explained and we talked through the process.
Four weeks later we’ve got lifting and some breakages. But the new growth means a lot of the damaged nail can be cut back. ✂️
A different builder product is applied, one I know will last!
4 weeks later we’ve got great retention and lots of new HEALTHY growth. 🌱
Nails are cut back again and the same product applied. And in 4 weeks time that damaged nail will pretty much be gone 💃

My aunt finally let me do her nails and bought her sister along so they could get holiday ready together 💅🍹
They took turns sitting in the big orange chair with cups of tea and making big desicions- like what would be the first drink on board the boat 😂🥂

Did my heart momentarily stop when the answer wasn’t ’I’m getting them done for holiday’ but instead ‘I’m getting married in a few days’ ? Yes absolutely!
Your wedding day is a big deal right? The planning? The pressure? And I had an hour not to mess it up for her.
But she told me all about the intimate wedding planned, the chilled out day with food and family and then I saw the shoes.
OMG the shoes. I don’t have a photo but trust me there were stunning!!
Just because it’s ‘bridal’ doesn’t mean you suddenly have to change everything about yourself.
Love colour? Have the colour.

From hiding hands away to addicted to the tappity tap tap 😍
So incredibly proud and happy for my client, who came to me a month ago wanting to break the biting habit and really take care of her nails.
Picked skin and bitten nails can be sensitive so we started slow with just a gentle cuticle tidy and an application of builder gel.
4 weeks later I’m getting ‘they are so long 🎉’ messages and a colour application booking- because now.she.can 👏
We still went gentle on the cuticles - those will take time, but a fresh builder coat and the most gorgeous baby pink would struggle to let the rain dampen anyone’s mood!
So so happy for her that she managed to achieve this, and can’t wait to see the progress in 4 weeks! 🥰

Let the toes have freedom!!!!!
Really why are we so hard on our feet? They carry us every day and yet we hide them away and call them ugly.
They aren’t ugly or weird or ‘a state’ they just need some care and attention. And it’s amazing the difference a bit of polish can have!
