Of course we as lash techs do all we can to make our environment the best it can be but sometimes Mother Nature has other ideas so we just have to work with it 🫶🏼
POV: The school closes at the last minute because of the heatwave… ☀️🥵
A few years ago, this would’ve sent me into panic mode.
Who do I call? Can I get time off work? How much money am I going to lose this week? 😩
Now? It’s still chaotic (because… kids 😂), but I’m no longer stressed about losing income every time life throws a curveball.
The biggest thing that changed? I stopped listening to the little voice telling me to stay in my comfort zone and took a chance on myself.
I invested in learning a new skill, completed the course, and created a way to earn that gives me flexibility around my family.
It’s not about having a “perfect” life. It’s about having options when unexpected things happen.
Sometimes the life you want is sitting on the other side of the thing you’re scared to do. ❤️

When should you be booking for your infills?
Every 2-3 weeks is a good ball park to follow - but what if you still have so many lashes why should you book for an infill?
Natural eyelashes grow, and they grow quick!
3 phases - Anagen (growth), Catagen (transition to old lash), Telogen (Shedding)
Meaning that at some point during your lash cycle your eyelash extension will grow further and further up your natural eyelash. You’ve had them random long ones or those ones that twist? They’re at the Telogen Stage and are ready to shed. This is so healthy and is exactly what your eyelashes should be doing.

To get to this point, I had to go through the learning stage.
The late nights. The training days. The moments of self-doubt. The mistakes. The times I questioned whether I was good enough.
Looking back at these photos reminds me that success doesn’t happen overnight. Every skill I have today was built through practice, patience, and being willing to start as a beginner.
Choosing to become self-employed was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Not because it was easy, but because it gave me the opportunity to build something that was mine. It gave me freedom, confidence, growth, and a career I’m genuinely proud of.
If you’re currently in the learning stage, keep going. The stage where you’re learning, making mistakes, and figuring things out is exactly what gets you to where you want to be.
Trust the process. One day you’ll look back and realise every step was worth it. ✨
