Clean Brushes, Happy Skin—Because You Deserve the Best on Your Wedding Day!Have you ever thought about how makeup artists clean their brushes before they touch your skin? It’s something most brides never have to think about—but for me, it’s a non-negotiable part of my work.When you sit in my chair, you can trust that every single brush and tool has been properly cleaned and sanitised—because your safety, skin health, and experience matter to me. ✨Here’s How I Keep Everything Fresh & Safe:💦 Step 1 – Deep Clean Soak – I start by soaking my brushes in warm water with Fairy Antibacterial Washing-Up Liquid to break down built-up makeup, oils, and bacteria.🫧 Step 2 – Gentle Cleanse & Condition – I then double cleanse with baby shampoo and olive oil. The baby shampoo is gentle and hydrating, while the olive oil helps break down stubborn product and keeps the bristles soft and conditioned.🚿 Step 3 – Final Rinse & Residue Removal – To make sure there’s no leftover oil, I do a final cleanse with washing-up liquid to rinse everything thoroughly and leave the brushes feeling fresh and clean.✨ Step 4 – Professional Sanitisation – I spray all brushes with IsoClean, a professional-grade antibacterial solution, to eliminate any remaining bacteria or germs.🧴 Step 5 – Handle & Ferrule Cleaning – I wipe all brush handles and ferrules with antibacterial wet wipes, as this is my preferred method. If wipes aren’t available, I use 70% alcohol on a cloth to ensure everything is fully sanitised.🚫 What About Sponges? – I don’t reuse them. I always use fresh ones and discard them after each use—because I don’t believe they can be fully sanitised.This isn’t a one-off deep clean—this is what I do every time before a client sits in my chair.
