Snooze More to Lose More... Yes, really 😴! Poor sleep can lead to hunger, and less healthy food choices – creating a tough cycle to break. At Slimming World, we can help! By helping you make healthier lifestyle changes, you can improve your sleep and support your weight loss, too.
Here’s some tried-and-tested tactics that could help:
🍎 eat smart before bed – avoid heavy meals late at night. Instead, go for fiber-rich, low-fat snacks like:
👉 Fat-free Greek yogurt & banana
👉 Carrot sticks & Slimming World hummus
👉 Sliced apple & reduced-fat peanut butter
🍷 cut down on alcohol – It may make you drowsy but often leads to restless sleep and early waking.
📱 ditch the screens – blue light from phones and TVs disrupts melatonin, making it harder to fall asleep.
🚶 get moving – gentle evening exercise like a brisk walk or light stretching can improve sleep.

Matthew joined Slimming World to enable him to donate his kidney as part of the UK Living Kidney Sharing Scheme (UKLSS) and improve his sister’s chances of finding a donor, following her diagnosis of kidney failure. He’s now lost an incredible 16st 9lbs (105kg) and successfully had the operation - what an inspiration 🤩!
