Disgusted At Bannatynes In Proctoring Themselves For A Bad Attitude Of An 18yr Spa Girl, Who Has Lied & Veiled Accusations & That’s Without Her Sloppy Work Ethnic!
Untill I received an immediate suspension on 2nd August- having waited 11days while- Absolutely Nobody - The General Manger @Hastings Dan Murphy/Harriet Burrows/Customer Support have not contacted engaged in email or correspondence of any form with me, while I’m investigated over an “alleged incident” in me asking a 18 or 19yr old fellow gym user “sorry but how much longer are you going to be after you finish filming, I’d like to use that piece of equipment”
She had been sat scrolling/txting/doing a boomerang/tick-tok 7 to 10mins on a leg press, small free weights.
Her reply was smirking, obnoxious & obstinate and down right offensive “in actually I don’t think I’v been that long on it.”
No regard or consideration in her manner!
Turns out only after I enquired to reception & asking Dan Murphy- she was a Staff Member from the Spa-
They get free use of the gym. And I believe this is the girls first job at 16hrs, & if the Spa staff are aware of gym etiquette & yet I pay the pleasure of £62.35 a month. And In me asking a question leads to an “incident”. That lead to a 2nd incident..
Where Bannatynes Spa Staff have fabricated & lied in her contents of the alleged accusations towards me. In her context that I used foul language & seen as gross misconduct!
So I have been terminated after what was 13 happish years!
And the discrepancies & totally lack of customer service help or support.! So Please Be aware of approaching Bannatynes staff/person in a gym setting. Please feel free to read my actual correspondence in this version of events.. Kate x

On the weekend of 3rd October 2020 I attended Bannatyne Hotel and Spa Hastings for an overnight spa break I had purchased. At no time during the purchase, booking or telephone conversation with the hotel was I made aware that I would be excluded from the spa facilities and leisure centre if I didn’t wear a face mask despite having a medical exemption.
I attended the hotel and explained that I had a medical requirement preventing me from wearing a face mask and they were happy to accommodate this. However, when I went to use the leisure facilities and the spa package I was informed that I would be denied entry if I did not place a face mask on despite being medically exempt and unable to wear one comfortably. I was also handed a letter from your company solicitor formally stating this when I attends the leisure centres.
I am concerned that you are excluding people with disabilities from your Spa and leisure facilities. I am also disappointed that when I made my booking and had a telephone follow up appointment with you 1 week prior to my attendance, I was not advised of this policy as I have a medical condition that requires that I do not wear a face mask and had I know this, I would have taken my business to a more accommodating provider. It is with a heavy heart that I have to complain as I throughly enjoyed my time at the Hotel, which contrastingly understood that I could not wear a face mask and allowed me access without it.
Please can you address my complaint?
