As summer comes to an end, September is the perfect time to slow down, switch off and make a little space for yourself.

This month’s special includes a soothing Hot Stone Back, Neck & Shoulder Massage, followed by an Indian Head Massage and a relaxing Wellbeing Facial using Temple Spa products.

I’ve been debating whether to make this change for a while, but after what has happened over the past couple of weeks, I feel I really need to.

I’ve unfortunately been repeatedly let down by clients who have either not attended their appointments at all, or have cancelled with less than an hour’s notice.

I completely understand that unexpected things happen — life happens and sometimes appointments genuinely can’t be kept. 🤍

But when an appointment is cancelled at the last minute, it is almost impossible for me to fill that space with another client. That means an hour or more of my working day is simply lost, along with the income from that appointment.

As a small independent business, this has a much bigger impact than I think people sometimes realise. Like many small businesses, The Wellbeing Room is already facing a challenging climate, with rising costs and people understandably being more careful with their spending. Every appointment matters, and every hour I have available to work matters.

It is incredibly disheartening to have time set aside, my room prepared and everything ready for a client, only to be left with an empty appointment at the very last minute.

So, from tomorrow, FULL PAYMENT will be required at the time of booking.

I completely understand that sometimes plans change, so I will continue to be as understanding and accommodating as I can. With at least 48 hours’ notice, your payment can be transferred to another suitable appointment.

Unfortunately, cancellations or changes made within 48 hours, and missed appointments, will be non-refundable.

This isn’t a decision I’ve made lightly, and it isn’t aimed at the many wonderful clients who are respectful of my time and always give me plenty of notice when they need to rearrange. ❤️

It is simply something I now need to put in place to protect my time, my income and the future of my small business.
