As I get closer to baby’s arrival, I’m just taking things week by week, so after this I’ll either be reducing my hours further or it may officially be time for maternity leave 👶🏼🤍

THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING READY BEFORE YOUR CEREMONY

One thing I say to every bride: never underestimate the final hour of your wedding morning.

It is, without a doubt, the fastest hour of the entire day.

What may look like “plenty of time” on paper can disappear very quickly once all of those beautiful final moments begin to happen.

Your final hour may include:

✦ Final makeup & hair touch ups
✦ Photographs in your matching pyjamas or robes
✦ Getting into your dress, veil and jewellery
✦ Beautiful fully-ready bridal portraits
✦ First looks and reveals with your dad, parents, grandparents or bridesmaids
✦ Those quiet, emotional moments with the people closest to you
✦ Final checks before leaving
✦ Travelling to your ceremony venue

And suddenly, the hour you thought you had… is gone.

This is why I always recommend allowing at least 1–2 hours between being fully ready and your ceremony time, where your plans and timings allow.

It isn’t about rushing through your morning or simply “finishing early”.

It’s about creating space.

Space to enjoy your photographer capturing the details.
Space for the emotional moments.
Space to take a breath, have a drink and actually take everything in.
And most importantly, space to walk into your ceremony feeling calm, composed and completely present.

Your wedding morning should never feel like a race against the clock.

Every bride is different, which is why your timings should be built around your plans, your suppliers, your photographs, your travel and the moments that matter most to you.

A little extra time can make all the difference. 🤍

Not simply to be ready on time.

To be ready with time to spare. ✨
