Compression isn’t always the answer.
Sometimes your tissues benefit more from decompression.
Myofascial Dry Cupping gently lifts the skin, fascia, and underlying soft tissues, helping to improve mobility, reduce muscle tension, and support recovery.
It’s particularly useful for areas that commonly become tight or overloaded, including the shoulders and lower back.
If you’re struggling with pain or restricted movement, let’s get you moving comfortably again.
Performance starts with recovery.
Whether you’re recovering from an injury, preparing for an event, managing persistent pain, or looking to improve your movement, the right treatment can make all the difference.

Did you know exercising in hot weather can increase your risk of injury?
Whether you’re hitting the gym, running, cycling or playing sport, the heat puts extra stress on your body.
⚠️ Heat can lead to:
💧 Dehydration and muscle fatigue
🧂 Electrolyte loss, increasing the risk of cramps
🧠 Reduced concentration and coordination
🦵 Poorer movement patterns, which can increase injury risk
Top tips for training in the heat:
🥤 Stay hydrated before, during and after exercise.
🌅 Train early morning or later in the evening.
👕 Wear light, breathable clothing.
⏸️ Listen to your body and don’t be afraid to reduce the intensity.
Enjoy the weather, stay safe, and keep moving! ☀️💪

What Do Different Cupping Mark Colours Mean? 🤔
🔴 Light Pink/Red Marks
Often seen in areas with good circulation and less tissue restriction. These marks typically fade quickly.
🟣 Dark Red/Purple Marks
May indicate an area of greater tissue tension, stagnation, or reduced local circulation. These areas often take longer to fade.
🟤 Brownish Marks
Older stagnation and blood that has been brought to the surface. These marks may linger a little longer as the body clears them.
⚪ Little or No Mark
This can simply mean the tissues are healthy and moving well, or that only a light suction was used. No marks doesn’t mean the treatment wasn’t effective.
🌈 Mixed Colours
It’s common to see different colours in different areas of the body, reflecting varying levels of muscle tension, circulation, and tissue restriction.
💡 Remember: The marks are a normal response to the suction and are temporary. Darker marks do not necessarily mean a “worse” problem, and lighter marks do not mean the treatment was less effective. Everyone responds differently.
As a sports massage therapist, I use dry cupping to help decompress tissues, encourage circulation, reduce muscular tension, and support recovery from training, sport, and everyday aches and pains.
