The perfect pre-draw is fundamental in lip blush, it allows you to see the shape of your lips before I start tattooing. With the mapping paste we can alter the shape as many times as needed to achieve the best symmetry possible and carve out the perfect cupids bow to suit your lips.

The outline plays such a key role in defining the lips and is tattooed directly inside the pre-draw. Getting a crisp outline ensures the shape remains even, and gives me an exact border to tattoo within. It also helps me gauge the thickness of the skin and how best to work on your lips.

My go too’s are the Agne Sujete mapping paste and the LUNA. 1RL 0.25LT PLUS cartridges from Cosmedic Supplies 💋

What products go into your appointment?

1. ‘Ultra strength’ numbing cream - so you don’t feel a thing
2. Setting powder - to set the pre-draw in place
3. Aftercare balm - to keep your lips hydrated and nourished
4. Pigment booster balm - to help keep the pigment implanted
5. Mapping paste - to pre-draw the outline of your lips
6. Secondary numbing gel - to keep you comfortable
7. Pigment - the colour tattooed into the lips

My client had lip blush done previously around 6 years ago, which had faded beautifully to a natural light coral colour. Today she came in asking for a natural pink… and of course, we did just that. This colour you see straight after will fade by about 30-50% during the healing process and give my client the perfect result.

How did I get there?
I used the titanium dioxide present in her lips (the white pigment left over from her previous lip blush) to my advantage, and was able to achieve a natural pink without using any products that were too… pink. I used a blend of Brovi Pigments | PMU ‘pink opal’, Etalon Mix UK ‘2’, and HANAFY UNITED KINGDOM 🇬🇧 ‘rose’ 🤍

Some lip blush cases like this don’t need laser to remove previous pigment as it has an even coverage, subtle residue and is easy to work with.
