Things I’ve learnt with having curly extensions on holiday…

They are not low maintenance 🙅‍♀️

In my brain I could leave my hair curly and not have to rewash it for the whole 6 days and look like a mermaid.. in reality I have had to wet my hair down every day and put more product on, then pray to the hair gods it didn’t go frizzy

Natural curls and hot sweaty days are not friends ☀️

Obviously when it’s hot during the day around the pool I have had to tie/clip my hair up.. breaking my curl pattern and making me look like Medusa by the time I take it back down in the room

Next time I will come more prepared 🧳

I packed without the intention to wash my hair, luckily I use my products on Perla’s hair so I did have my shampoo and conditioner. I’ve got away with one full wash and a daily damp down to refresh

Summary.. I LOVE my extensions and won’t have them out before I travel again.. but I will come loaded with more products and now more knowledge… I would say day to day at home that they are lower maintenance but on holiday they have been higher maintenance on holiday because on a 6 day holiday I wouldn’t usually wash my hair 🌝 😂 but I will take the extra wash for the fabulous daily mermaid hair 💁🏽‍♀️

My gorgeous new client came to see me with post chemo regrowth and I hesitated and told her i thought it was still too short as we only had around 5” of hair to work with.. after sharing her story and convincing me to give it a go… this is what we managed to achieve, there were a lot of tears shed and it’s now one of my favourite transformations for an incredible woman 🥹
