Caring about your menstrual health is very important for your overall healthcare. It’s data. It’s prevention. It’s listening.

When I pay attention to your cycle, I’m not just chasing pregnancy.

Research shows that poor s***m parameters often overlap with:
Metabolic and cardiovascular risk
Higher risk of diabetes
Shorter life expectancy

January highlights

Here are my thoughts...

1️⃣ We need better investigations for women. Often I have women in my clinic who have a diagnosis of PCOS from a medical expert diagnosing on follicle number alone. This is not enough. What's your LH level Vs FSH? What's your AMH level? What's your testosterone level? Have you had fasting insulin/HOMA-IR/HbA1c?
2️⃣ IVF clinics should be tailoring your protocol based on what you specifically need when you have PCOS
3️⃣ I'll talk about Metformin use post positive pregnancy test at a later date.
4️⃣ We need better emotional support for women with PCOS and better continued support into pregnancy
5️⃣ Health support should go beyond fertility. There are other conditions which are co-morbidities and you should get support for this too.

I did the research so you didn't have to.

Here is what the 2025 randomised control trials told us about fertility. Whether you have:

I had a call last night with a man seeking treatment for low morphology.

He was keen to understand where the needles go ...and I was VERY pleased to tell him that no, the needles are definitely not placed there!

But it's a great question and I thought I would let all the men know who are working towards better s***m (and overall) health.

Depending on signs and symptoms needles will be placed on the lower abdomen, lower back, legs or arms.
