The slow work of water. This arch took the sea thousands of years to carve. No shortcut, no rush — just water and time, working quietly against stone. We think about that a lot. Our bars cure for weeks before they ever reach you. Slower than they need to be.

Most people meet chamomile in a teacup. This is a different acquaintance entirely. At the heart of this bar is Roman chamomile, the plant the Greeks called the "earth apple," for the sweet, orchard-like note it carries low to the ground. Nothing like the mild flower you steep at night. It is one of the more precious oils we work with. The flowers bloom only across June and July, one bud to a stem. A whole hectare gives just a few kilos of oil — thousands of blossoms, gathered by hand, for the few drops that scent a single batch. What's left is soft, green, faintly of apple and cut hay — a meadow, not a teabag. Not the chamomile you know.

Many of the popular 'soap bars' in supermarkets are actually synthetic detergents. They clean, but they work differently than traditional cold-process soap. In large-scale soap production, glycerin - a natural humectant - is often extracted and sold separately for skincare. So commercial soap often leaves your skin needing moisturiser after. Our cold-process soap keeps the glycerin where it belongs. In the bar.
