Short stiletto style acrylics this evening for my awesome sister in law, all hand painted with an on trend jelly finish black ombré! I've done ombré nails before but not as a jelly effect finish so I'm pretty pleased with the results!

Reminder - I specialise in sculpted acrylics but I am also qualified in builder gel as well as simple gel manicures on your natural nails. Still offering manicures only, sorry no pedicures.

I read something today that has prompted me to clarify a statement that is heard far too often in the nail industry.....

Nails DO NOT breathe - One of the most frustrating statements a nail technician hears regularly, here are the facts:

Nails are made of a protein called keratin, which is a non-living substance. Nails receive their nutrients and oxygen from the bloodstream, specifically from the nail matrix and nail bed, not from the air. Therefore, they don't require exposure to air to stay healthy.

It is so important to understand these facts and as a nail technician I will always guide you to the best of my ability to the truth in statements like this and if I don't know an answer I will fully research the query to bring you an accurate and truthful reply 💅🏼💅🏼💅🏼

This year has FLOWN by, I'm so very grateful for all of you for keeping me incredibly and increasingly busy!

Giving a general heads up to my ad-hoc / special occasion clients..... I only have 3 appointments left for December this year 😳 if you want your festive nails PLEASE contact me ASAP to book in, I wish there were more hours in the day to open up more spaces but I'm only one person 💅🏻

Good Afternoon folks...... The dreaded news you've all been waiting for.....

As of February 1st my prices will be increasing, this hasn't happened for a good few years now but my product prices went up in November last year and as such my pricing needed adjustments too.

I hope you all understand, this hasn't been an easy decision but I stand by the quality of the CJP brand products I use and would rather stay with them and give you the quality nails you're used to.
